I want to see someone with a WRB WRX paint their wheels to match. though, for me, I don't care if they're stock wheels. I was thinking it would be cool on a WRB with WRB wheels and a polished lip.

Though, doesn't do me any good, mine's PSM.

you were actually my inspiration lolz....had been wanting the Ce28n TA's for awhile but the budget does not allow for them, then I came across your thread on scoobymod.com about painting the front badge and saw your the pic of your car at the bottom and decided "yp" thats what Im gonna do. No I did not do it the same so to speak....I sprayed the rims black acouple weeks ago then this past weekend I masked off all the black and sprayed the lip. I need to touch up alittle bit after i get new tires and balancing....i painted over the weights on the outside and they will be moved to the interior of the rim so im gonna have to shoot the black and red 1 more time. Atleast this way I will be sure theres no imperfections. I <3 how they turned out, in the sun expecially against the blue they are just eye candy I actually sent you a PM on scoobymods asking how you kept such a solid line around the lip......so i just masked it off, also I didnt do as much of the lip as you did. I didnt want any on the face of the rim.

lol. Well thank you. I'm glad someone else tried it out. sorry about not getting back to you on scoobymods, i almost never log in there.

it actually looks like you did the same with the lip in terms of how much you painted red. As far as I can tell from your pic, we covered the same amount in red. Basically the lip itself and then that little "valley" between the lip and the face of the wheel.

I used a brush to keep the lip nice and straight, but that was definitely not fun.

they are pretty good tires, in the dry they have insane grip and a nice sidewall. In the wet they are a little slick but still predictable.

Sorry for the crappy cell pics, but it's duplicolor's gunmetal, w/ duplicolor clear coat. I highly suggest both, as the color is rich, and the clear thick and glossy. I cleaned wheels, dried, painted, and dried. It would have been smart to sand, but the paint has yet to chip at all going on two years or so.
