Thumbs up Excellent thread!

Subscribe-d. This is going to be what I'd do to my car if anything.

Of course, it all comes down to "Do I have the balls...*cough*...'technical expertise' to disassemble my (3 month old) daily driver?"

Ask me again in four years (or less if I'm lucky) when I've paid it off. And the answer will be "Hell Yes!"

^see here. 02-03 springs are different then 04+ springs.

Springs

Springs for 04-07 RS or WRX will fit.

Aftermarket springs designed for Impreza STi will be too stiff for stock struts. OEM STi springs work well though.

To use springs designed for 02-03 Impreza, you must use 02-03 Impreza struts and rear strut top mounts.

See strut section above for spring fitment when using 02-03 struts.

I still can't tell completely, maybe it's the wording. does that mean that Springs for 04-07 RS or WRX are INTERCHANGEABLE?

Sorry for my confusion, but I just don't want to buy the wrong thing

Here's what I'm trying to buy:
Item number: 120118184575 on eBay. Link isn't working for some reason.

The year says 02-05 WRX springs... which isn't consistent with the information in this thread..

Will they fit?

Please don't get those. They look like $hit. And you're a "Scooby Specialist"? Shouldn't you know better by now? How about you get some reputable springs. STI takeoffs at the very least.

When in doubt, ebay listings from places you've never heard of are wrong.

There is no such thing as a spring that fits 02-05 WRX without any modifications (i.e. using different struts or strut tops.)

02-03 springs are different then 04+ springs.

^^That's what I was asking. I thought it sounded odd.

Thanks for the help.

I don't see the Bilstein/Prodrive RB320 struts for the 05+ STi on the list...

I'm putting RCE Wagon springs on my '02 wagon, along with a set of Koni's.

I can re-use my exising struts, as long as I get GroupN bushings for the rear, and either GroupN or Camber plates for the front, correct? No other parts that I need to buy?

You need 04 or later tophats (not bushings) for the rear, along with the TiC spacers or equivalent. Fit wise, they can be off any 04+ Impreza but WRX or STi ones will be stiffer, and Group N ones stiffer yet.

For the front, you don't need anything but you could upgrade to the stiffer Group N tophats, or camber plates if you want the camber and/or caster adjustability.

i didn't see anything specifically regarding wagon to sedan compatabilty. i used camber adjustable tophats to properly fit wrx coilovers on my OBS. ...is there an oem tophat option that would've worked?

Struts + Shocks

Only 2008 Impreza specific struts and shocks will fit.

Springs

Only 2008 Impreza specific springs will fit. (probably)

Strut tops and Camber Plates

Not sure yet about fronts.

Rears are probably 2008 Impreza specific.

Camber bolts

Probably 14mm camber bolts up front.

Strut Bars

Not sure on front compatibility, but probably 08 Impreza specific.

Only 2008 Impreza specific rear strut/shock tower bars will fit.

Coilovers

Only 2008 Impreza specific coilovers will fit.

Swaybars and Swaybar mounts/bushings

I have an idea about front swaybar compatibility but I'm not able to confirm it yet.

Not sure on turbo/non-turbo front swaybar compatibility. Probably are not interchangeable though.

Only 2008 Impreza specific rear swaybars will fit.

Endlinks

Not sure on front compatibility.

Only 2008 Impreza specific rear endlinks will fit.

Other

Not sure on sedan and wagon differences yet.

Please help me update this section as info becomes available!
Hi, I am looking for a rear sway bar and I'm pretty sure the one from the 08 STI will fit on a regular 2008 WRX, increasing the size of the bar from 15mm to 18mm. So far, this bar would cost about half of what the landed cost of an aftermarket bar would cost (canuck ).

does anyone here know if the Group N top hats will allow you to use the stock spring still for a 2002 WRX. Also does anyone know if the Cusco Pillow ball top hat will work with the stock spring.

Thanks in advance

There is no info regarding interchangability of rear lateral links and trailing arms for the GC model (93-2001). Left out because nothing can be swapped or no one has tested that theory yet?
