So have you had to use the winch yet? If so, how'd everything hold up?

a couple months ago our rally track was rained out, so we had some fun where we could. interesting to see how much better AWD is when compared to fwd side by side:

I went to Bill Gwynne Rally School in England a few years ago, and just went to Dirtfish in November. I'm planning a trip back to dirt fish in January. I'm now addicted to being sideways offroad, and I'm hopefully going to be making my old bugeye a rally monster soon. Unfortunately nobody knows what rally is in the southeast and there aren't any local rallycross events.

Looks like DirtFish has a really nice set-up, and some good instructions going on. That doesn't take away from your runs, which were very nice man. Well-timed inputs

They are awesome. The instruction was great. The whole thing was top notch all the way around. I definitely improved big time during the three day course. The bars certified school in England I went to has nothing on dirtfish. I can't wait to go back!

Just installed my new hotbits RSI rally coils. The car went from being lowered on v7 sti struts/tophats and rsr springs to this . Quite the change. Now I just need some 15 braids, some decent used rally tires, and some more under body protection.
Who needs alignment shops when you have jack stands and some string? My steering wheel is even straight, unlike any time I've ever taken a car to have it done professionally. 0 toe front and rear, -1.5 front camber and -1 rear. All cleaned up: Last edited by madkayaker; 05-08-2012 at 08:49 PM. |
