I have 05 forester struts, springs, 1" tophat spacers, forester trailing arm brackets, general grabbers at2.....

AND WOW, the pictures don't do it justice. I absolutely love the feeling of driving it and the fact that I can work under it without having to jack it up is the best! If anyone has questions feel free to ask away!

So how much total lift do you have? How much does the forester swap give you? Look great by the way.

Thanks guys, its a blobeye btw too!

I didn't do measurements beforehand but the total cumulative lift was around 4-5"

I am also looking to trade it for a similar year wagon if anyone is interested, I have a thread in the private vehicle for sale section. The lift is freaking awesome though

I think you have to be logged in to DI to see that pic I posted... lol.

Try this one:

And I spent the weekend at MMRT headquarters getting our wagon ready for Headwaters in a few weeks. Dropped complete front and rear subframes and gas tank from the old RS and got them fitted to the new caged wagon, plus the engine and trans and coilovers are in. Also put in my seat and harness. Fun weekend!!

We're running Flatout Suspension R2 rally coilovers and doing some testing for them.

Oh yeah, and before I left we notched my bumper and took out the 1" spacers for my Gorilla bar. It fits flush with the bottom line of the bumper now and looks a lot cleaner - like it was meant to be there. Really like it, need to get some pictures of it...

So you have a one inch lift on the bug eye turned hawk eye? Also I know you said 17in wheels but what size tires? Looks great, that is the same look i am going for with my 2015 wrx, just slightly larger tires. Thanks

Thanks! And almost, the STi springs lower it a bit so it's not a full 1". Summer tires are 225/45/17 iirc, rally tires are 195/65/15, snow tires are 205/55/16...I think. I can easily get a bit dyslexic with tire size numbers. I haven't gone up in tire size since it's mostly street/gravel roads and rallyx.

Torn between getting a 1st/2nd gen Forester or a 1st gen OBS for off roading and normal day driving, any opinions?

I'm about to add king springs and a new wheel/tire setup soon. The only down side with the current setup is I lost all the handling that came with the sportmaxx smaller tires. Same road noise because they were super loud to begin with. I don't think 1" spacers affected drivability.

Thank you, I am hopefully soon going to get the one inch spacers. What wheel and tire setup are you looking to get?

Are you keeping the spacers on top of the king lift springs? That sounds like it will be an awsome setup. Be sure to post pics.

I skimmed through and didn't really see anything about the newer imprezas. I have a 2015 sport that I want to lift, I have 09 forester struts/Springs and rear upper control arms, does anyone know what else I'd need to swap over?

Most people who wanted a lifted 2012+ Impreza went with a Crosstrek... since it's essentially an Impreza Sport on Forester Suspension to begin with.

I'm not sure what all will transfer over from the '09 to your '15 Impreza. There are more shared components between the 2008-2011 Impreza and the 2009-2013 Forester since they are of the same generation. A closer match for your '15 Impreza would be a 2014-current Forester.

I picked up this gem last weekend in Montreal:

I'm importing a full center console and shifter setup from Australia to complete an OEM Dual Range install. The transmission is from an 04 Forester 2.5X AUDM. I'll post up more post install.

Do you actually know whether or not the suspension changed between those model years or are you just guessing?

Yeah keeping the spacers. Changed my mind about the tires. I went with road tires just to keep it simple. I'm an Uber driver too. Method 501's with 235/55ZR-17 Continental Extremecontact DWS 06. I'll post pics in about 2 weeks or so.
