In my opinion black is the only color that good on the 06's. It hides that fugly front end!

You're going to love the 06, buddy.... It's almost night and day between the 05's and the 06's..... Much smoother and quicker acceleration, great braking, overall feel much improved.... Have fun and good luck... I hope I get to see some customers down here as enthusiastic about the cars as you are....

about time...
invoice + 500 - $500 factory cash (assuming this offer is valid in your area) = invoice... i would say no more than invoice + $500

I would like those take off 17" wheels and tires if you want to sell them. I am not sure where you are or what the shipping or pick up situation would be.

$500 over invoice sounds like a fair price to me..... I would certainly honor that.... Also keep in mind that there are special interest rates for the 2006's out, as well. However, you cannot get them if you choose to take the $500 incentive money, so think it over and see what works out cheaper.

Good luck.....

I wound up at about $350 over invoice, including the $500 incentive money and got them down to 5.09% financing for 60 mo. I prolly could have done better, but they also gave me $1000 more than I expected for my trade (’02 Altima 3.5).

Overall I’m satisfied with the deal, especially considering the car had to be located.

Congrats. The car is real fly. On 9/2 I picked up my black one. Although I did get it for $560 under invoice plus put 18k down my rate is 6.34% which stinks cause I have excellent credit. Maybe I should have waited a couple of weeks...either i wasn't made aware of the current incentives or they didn't offer them 13 days ago. Hmmmmm....

i think (i am not in the auto sales industry so this is just my logic) that dealers generally make more money if you have a trade-in. they can more easily "buy low, sell high" on it or if they go to auction and have offered a good price for them to their customer they will make money off of it there. when you pay cash they don't make money on your trade-in or your financing and i would think it would be tougher to make a deal.

cars101 or edmunds for invoice

I think I got a pretty good deal and I’m pretty sure the dealer still made out like bandits!

What is the offset on those wheels? I looked at those and the offsets on every model are waaaaay too low for WRX's. Double check them or risk destroying your wheel bearings.

the offset on the rs gt wheels is 45+ and they are 18x7.5 the offset is within the acceptable range which is 48.

i test drove the car today! finally. i test drove the 05 a while ago and the thing i didn't like was the suspension cause i test drove the rsx-s the same day and i loved the suspension. now the 06 is SOOOO much better, the steering wheel sensation is really nice and the suspension is stiffer, feels a lot better kind of like the rsx but not so damn stiff. when i test drove the 05 the turbo kick didn't surprise me at all, this time IT DID, it feels so nice although it doesn't last long. the seats are better, still a bit too hard though, but the interior looks much better with the two tone seats.
i paid the deposit, so im getting my aspen white on friday! yey the wheel look bigger than 17inches. those are nice. i couldn't really test the brakes but they look great.

oh yeah when i was getting back to the dealer from the test drive there was a guy with an s2000 who couldn't stop staring at the 06 he gave me thumbs up. so he went into the dealer to check out the car. he loved it, he wanted to trade his s2000 for an sti.
i didn't test the car with a short shifter but im getting one with short shifter.
any questions are welcome.

Any dealer will do an invoice deal with you. they will make about 2000 off of you. you should be able to pick up that car for about 22000. If you are anywhere around KC,MO i can get you a great price on an 06 wrx. i have some friends that are dealers

Just traded my 04 for an 06 this week, and I have zero regrets. I agree, the car just feels better driving. More responsive, faster off the line....I couldn't be happier (well, that's not entirely true; I'm getting the windows tinted tomorrow, so that should do it).
