Whoa I haven't experienced this?
The brakes squeak and then turn your wheels a nice shade of grey.

Mine make the noise all the time (sounds real good braking in reverse though)

^^ As above, it's normal with these brakes. Better pads will become worse. I've had no clunking at 20k miles. The squeaking in reverse will be more noticeable since they are adjusting themselves then.

Yes. I experience the same thing backing out of my driveway, which has a decent incline. It used to occur out around town when my mileage was between about 20,000 to 25,000. I asked about it during one of my regular maintenance visits and the guy said, “Big brakes on a little car. It’s normal”. Now they pretty much only squeak in the mornings backing out of the driveway and then they are fine for the rest of the day. I feel kind of bad because I go to work pretty early and I fear that the loud squeaking might be bothering my neighbors. But, I have found that when I give the brake pedal a good squeeze before I start backing out, it sometimes stops them from squeaking at all as I start backing out.
