Prayers for his family. I didn't know him, his bugeye build was a inspiration for me. One of first few that I was impressed by. RIP

Matt was a major inspiration for me to take better photos. All of my memories of him involved a lot of laughing. He was a good dude.

Damn. I met him back in 05 when for the famous MattJK screen. He was a cool guy and was waaay ahead of his time. He gave us console LCD screens way before it was a thing. May he rest in peace.

I know I'm late to comment here but Matt was a super good friend to me and a few other close friends back in the early 2000's. He was one of the most interesting, smartest, and most generous guys I've ever met. He taught me a lot about life and always had so many tricks when it came to modifying cars. When I first heard the news shortly after he passed, it really hit me hard. Even now, months later it's hard to accept but I understand life is relatively short and no one knows how long they have.

I got to meet Matt's brother several years back and I bought an old WRX from him. Also a great guy. Matt did some work on that car and I often think about him when I drive it, especially lately. I know the whole first gen WRX group has mostly gone our separate ways but I do still carry a lot of great memories from old BBQs, Life Plaza meetups, and of course all the crazy banter we all had on SCIC and NASIOC during that time.

This is my first time logging on the to the site since he passed so I apologize if this is old news but I did want to at least say something to pay my respects to someone I really admired in this community as a friend and technical mentor.
