Not nearly as ugly as I thought it'd be. A side-by-side would be nice.

If they would make the interior not suck terribly that would be nice.

The cooper works version has over 200hp. They are fun little cars, would make a nice daily driver. Mini's are more on style than power but a peppy.

With the new turbo motor running catless with some EM should result in some nice power gains

BOOOO on the integrated radio and HVAC controls (and center mounted speedo for that matter).

Still wish it had AWD and a not-so-horribly-ugly interior.

We've had ours in Morgantown winters with no trouble. The All-Season Control is excellent. It's far better than the over-active ABS in my RS. The RS may get started better in the snow, but the MINI stops better.
BTW, there is a digital speedo on the tachometer. I never even look at the center speedo when I'm driving. ~~Quentin |

When the old one came with 160HP, that was pretty good for the time. But it needs more to keep up with the new performance group (civic si, GTi, cobaltSS/ion redline) not to mention the really high output guys. Oh, and an overpriced and underachieving works package will not suffice.

I like to be the one who decides how much power the wheels get in the snow. Not a computer which usally just takes power away from the wheels. Front wheel drive is boring in snow, AWD is a blast! |

you dont need awd on a car this small. laws of physics dictate that the power loss would be more trouble than the slight traction advantage at anywhere near achievable mini power levels.
you guys who doubt the mini, as i did, go drive one. You'll be amazingly surprised. I was. I barely noticed the fwd factor because I was having too much fun around U turns under overpasses with my family riding along. After those first two u-turns (I'm usually the shoe for test driving cars for my fam) my dad went and got a MCS for himself to add to his collection |

Nobodys really debating that in the dry. I think we were talking about snow. Which up here is a big deal and a major factor for me when looking at new cars. I'll never go back.
