Default Got Used '04 STi, stock tires dying, NEW TIRE QUESTION

I tried searching, but nothing quite answered my question.

First of all I'm a proud owner of a new STi, and I love the stock RE070's and the handling that comes with them. Currently 20,000 miles on them and it seems they won't last too much longer. I'm planning on keeping them until winter, and then putting some tires on that will work in the snow. However, I dont' have the resources or space to store multiple sets of tires, so I'm looking for a set of all season tires that will handle as well as humanly possible, while improving the ride and noise problems experienced from the stock Bridgestone's. I'm willing to spend some cash in order to get all these things, but a little better tread life wouldn't hurt either. I just know that, in the end, I'd rather be able to drive up to Tahoe whenever I want without worrying about changing tires or putting on chains, than have the absolute best handling possible.

Any advice/experience? Thanks!

Pirelli PZero Nero M&S.

If you have to drive on the same tires all year this is what I'd go with. I use them as my winter tire (don't be fooled by the location, it snows quite a bit in the AZ high country, and I make an annual trip to Colorado, too).

Ride is much quieter and "softer" than the OEM RE070s, dry grip is respectable and wet traction is good.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. think they are on sale this month. at least they were at my local autotire.

michelin is used on all t3h f4st4st cars for a reason.

45k wear warranty. its pretty much the best UHPAS, along with the one listed above. if you have to downgrade to A/S, do it with one of these.

I didn't like the Michelins in the snow, or more accurately, I prefer the Pirelli's snow handling to that of the Michelins.

I don't rely on TireRack's user ratings, but they show the Pirelli in position 2, Michelin in 3rd, and Avon 1st. No experience whatsoever with the latter, but somebody evidently likes it.

Any thoughts on the Bridgestone Turanza LS-Z?
