I'm selling my GT500 and looking at the '11 sti 4door. Good luck in the snow, it will not go anywhere, and the two car thing gets old real quick. Either way, if you have to get a mustang either find a used GT500 or check out the new BOSS coming out...
edit: I have owned a mustang in the past and my 2010 is built very well. All the way around am very pleased with fit and finish..not the mustangs of old |

LOL, I had a 1990 5.0 Mustang LX (the light non hatchback one) when I lived in Ontario and first moved out here. The 98F/2R weight distribution on that thing didn't equate to much forward motion in the snow on steep hills even with snow tires

As someone who sells Subarus for a living, even I must agree that the "bang for buck" factor with the GT is pretty radical!!
Nothing quite like a high powered V8 driving the rear wheels via a live rear axle. But, shhhhhh.....ya didn't hear that from me. |

Stopped side-by-side on a red light----Mustang V8 and STi
Light turns Green----pedal to the metal. Just curious which would win: 0-60 on a nice ideal day? On a rainy/snowy day? |

STI 4.8 (source motortrend) GT 5.2 (source motortrend) ps also this is the 2010 not the 2011 and it's missing 100hp. (my estimate for 2011 412hp 3.73gears would be low 4s) Snow/Rain 0-60 STI 4.8 GT (still at the line roasting the tires) |

Let's get this straight I have loved the 90's fox body 5.0 and the latest 2011 gt500 and gt mustang that also has a v8. Nothing in between. Only now the quality of fit n finish is at an acceptable level for ford.
Yes it is useless in the snow and so is my wife's 08 m3...u don't buy a mustang for the snow. But I would like to do some donuts with it! Mmm...donuts I love honey crulers. |
