i would think that a lot of these are powdercoated.. no?
if you're painting.. tape and newspaper would do the trick jus fine.

Go buy some flash cards (I guess they're 5x8 or so), then insert them into the space between the tire and the rim so they overlap. I suppose I should point out that the rim needs to be off the car and flat on the ground Done it a few times and it works pretty well.

I was goin to powdercoat my enkies when I had my Evo and people kept tellin me not to powdercoat em, and to paint em, cause the process of heatin the wheels to get the powder to stick to the wheel heats the metal and when that is done it makes the wheel's stuctural integrity weaker, I had a friend that powdercoats and woulda hooked me up but I figured I wasn't tryin to possibly weaken my wheels and thought paintin was the way to go, yeah I was plannin on takin all four of my wheels off and layin em flat, puttin somethin on the tires like newspaper or tape now I guess those 3x5 cards too, and sprayin on two or three layers of color and then two or three layers of clear coat, is that the right amount? how many coats do you guys use

Here's a couple quick chops of my car....
