It's not really a comparison of "what is better" vs "how it functions". The eLevel system, in my opinion, has a much higher quality controller than the V2 controller. It just feels like a solid product in your hand, not like the plastic enclosure around the V2 controller.

The two systems function completely different: eLevel uses height sensors to switch between presets, whereas the AutoPilot V2 uses pressure-based presets. As Open Road Tuning pointed out, the V2 has (8) preset buttons on it-- this is necessary due to the nature of pressure presets. The weight in the cabin (among various other environment factors) change how high the car will lift at a certain pressure. That means that your normal "drive preset" will not always be the same height, which negatively impacts tire wear.

With eLevel, there are only (3) presets. This is because that is all you need. Since eLevel uses height-based presets, there is no need for additional presets, you simply have "low", "drive" and "lifted" heights. Quite possibly my favorite aspect of the height leveling implemented by eLevel is the increase in tire life. Since no matter what the load in my vehicle is, my vehicle is always at my aligned height, which means camber/toe is spot on resulting in increased tread life. If you think about it, a decent set of tires will run you $400-$500, which quickly makes up the difference between eLevel and other management setups.

....
Yeahh.. I'd probably have to go somewhere to have someone install it. Because I don't know how.. do you have a build thread for a 2012 STi sedan? I'm leaning more towards the eLevel system right now. I don't want to have to worry about if I drive more friends around or anything. Haha But what about the RockerSwitch controller for eLevel instead of the touch pad?

We don't have any build threads for 2012 STi's quite yet, but we will have one in a few months! eLevel is great for peace of mind, that's for sure. The RockerSwitch controller is a great alternative, and saves you $300 vs the TouchPad controller. If you aren't one to play with individual corners much while driving, the RockerSwitch is perfect!

The RockerSwitch system consists of the main controller (the actual Rocker) as well as a "program button" which allows you to adjust settings, as well as air up/down individual corners (mainly used while setting your presets). The simplicity of having a simple "Up" and "Down" arrow to cycle through your three presets is really all you need if you don't intend on playing with your air ride much. Not to mention, should you decide you want that extra control capability after having the system for a few months, it's very easy to add a TouchPad controller to the setup or even a wireless controller such as TouchBox or iLevel.

Let me know if you have any further questions! I use the RockerSwitch + TouchPad + TouchBox combo in my Subie and love it

Ever wondered why all the wireless controllers (including TouchBox) are being released and demonstrated on iDevices as opposed to the Android platform? I didn't mean to say that Air Lift wont' be targeting the Android market-- that would be silly. I'm merely saying it is much more difficult to ensure an app works equally well on all Droids, which is a trivial process in iOS development.
this may be semantics but "droid" is a specific brand inside the android ecosystem mostly used by motorola. i.e. all droids are androids but not all androids are droids.

on topic, keep up the good work guys. i plan on going with you guys in the future, the e-level sounds perfect for my needs.

Haven't had much time for photo shoots recently but our buddy Zak came up a couple of weekends ago for a visit and snapped a few.

Micker & Bag Riders.... I really hate having you up here and seeing the cars when I'm driving to work in Winooski....

Really starting to contemplate bringing my '11 PBP STi up there for some love. The photos in this thread really arent helping much and Micker, you've almost been responsible for a few wrecks as I've been rubber necking to watch your car go by.

don't hold me responsible for any fender benders! Feel free to stop by the shop and say hi! We're always swamped but maybe we can peer pressure you into going a bit lower

the reason i asked about android is because of the new mirrorlink headunits. basically, sony, alpine, pioneer etc are coming out with headunits that while your phone is connected, mirrors its functionality on your dash so you only need to keep one device up to date. it would be really awesome to download your ilevel app to an android device and see it mirrored on my headunit. admittedly though, that will add to the development complexity.

Feature creep I think the closest I've seen to "in dash integration" is TouchBox on an iPad mounted in the dash in a few trucks at this year's SEMA event. Pretty nifty, but I don't have the cash to mount an iPad in my dash

Hey, we haven't had nearly enough of one of the OG 08+ bagged subies in this thread! Behold, a Bag Riders customer, Tyler's absolutely stunning 2011 STi:

Rick and a few other AirSociety guys are coming down to visit us this coming weekend to hang out and take some shots, I'm sure I'll have some new content to post up within the next couple of weeks.

Also worth mentioning... winter is coming! What are everyone's plans for their Subie this wintertime? I'm sending my hawk-eye through a bit of a transformation, I'm excited for a new look... pictures soon!
