I don't give a snot about racing...
and I just pulled prolly 80-100lbs of roll cage out of the car to be able to MOVE... The rear hoop must have weighed 40-60lbs.. I can garenteeee the car will still be faster than most.... 6.0L GTO wasn't a problem comming home, now, it would just be a slight problem.. |

I don't know what Aaron weighs, but if you put a 300 lb guy in a car instead of 180 lb car would you automatically say "SO MUCH FOR RACING FAT ASS!!"?? Seriously. 150 lbs isn't that much weight when you're talking about an RS that already weighs 500 lbs less than the WRX.
Loaded weight actually helps top speed in many cases |

You making a competition sound car or are you just a true audiophile? That sure looked like a lot of work with the sound deadening. Nice work there.

Personaly, not to be rude, But I have to laugh at these people that go WAY overboard with weight reduction, like the guy that built up my car, he was going for a road racer, understood, he didn't hardly drive the car. For someone like me that is going to be driving this, not quite daily, but driving it somewhat normaly(did I mention my 90mi a day comute to work)... WHAT'S THE POINT? I can only "legaly" do 70 on the hwy... so WHY in gods name would I want a car that is so freakin loud?? Why would I concern myself with what it weighs as long as it's still fast (which it WILL be) It's plenty fast enough to get me locked up... why would I need more? It's already a cop maginet, so, while i'm doing the speed limit and I have some asshat in a stripped car flying past me... Fine... I'll turn up whatever sweet sounds i've got playing, and cruse... |

I've gotten very lucky in the past few months, I am thankfull every day that I get to do this and that I have my people here and on other forums to help me along, i'm not selfish in the slightest when it comes to listening to peoples opinions and ideas on any of my ventures... In fact I encourage it, to the fullest extent.. Like, soon it will be time to place my amp somewhere (a RF Power 1000 5ch) So I will be needing ideas shortly... And you will see a post asking for ideas... I assure you.. lol Cheers.. |

I'm a lurker on the audio section of Nasioc but man... you have done what I have always dreamed of doing. This is amazing, I would never do it on my STI since I work so hard to knock weight off, but on my DD I'm definitely going to try and do something like this. I'm always scared I'm going to f-it up but with all your pictures and everyone else's explanations, I think I'll be set. Just have to wait until I get out of debt. Can't wait to hear how it sounds

Oh, and a NEW update, more SS Damplifier Pro is going in the mail... I've basically received a forum sponsorship from Second Skin products, I've been given the "go ahead" to mention that now... It's is not a "full" sponsorship as I cannot meet all of the requirements for a "full" sponsorship, but, it's been discussed and considered a "mini-sponsorship" or a "forum" sponsorship... I feel truely blessed.. |

I don't see any sound dampening being installed in my car, so how can you be doing it for the rest of us? Your car is an inspiration to those who may want to replicate what you've done, and you've provided excellent pictures for them to learn from. |
