Hi guys what's new? New suspension being put in monday, picked up some ISC coilovers and control arms, might be painting my wheels sooner than later. For now, here's the ride.

Most of these pictures were taken by my good friend Rich, he takes pictures of all types of cars and is the writer for Perfect Stance. Feel free to give him a follow on instagram @rvvvvh and if you'd like to follow my ride follow @Sk8bug

The rear fenders are taking shape.
(This is still a rough form that the molds will be made from)
I got to do more fiberglass cut the door seam and sculpt out the door seams.

Nice ride! Which wheels are those? I have a SWP sedan and I love it, funny how the rear bumper color doesn't match! Mine is the same way.

OZ Superleggera 17 gold... and now I can't stop looking at the rear bumper. Gotta look at that in the light tomorrow. Hahaha.

Haha I'm the same way, most angles it looks perfect but it seems like subaru got the color wrong on the "flop".

Default Perrin sway bars/endlinks

I just purchased front and rear sway bars and endlinks for my 2008 wrx. However I am having second thoughts about the stiffness of the 25mm (largest available from Perrin) adjustable sway bars. I haven't actually taken them out of the box yet because I have read that the 25mm rears may be too stiff for everyday driving (and I am on stock tires and wheels, for now). Since I haven't installed them yet I may be able to send them back for a smaller size. Anyone out there with an '08 who can offer up an opinion?

I've heard similar things about the larger sways (no personal experience however) ... I believe 22/22 was the most DD friendly IIRC (been awhile since I researched sways) and kept the car more "neutral" (no under/over steer)... If you can return them and get your money back take a look at the RCE sways... They are 25mm but they are hollow so they are equal to a solid 22.8 mm sway... I've heard nothing but good things about them both performance and durability wise... When it comes time I will be getting the RCE sways...

I run Cusco 23/20 SOLID sways with 8k/8k BC BR coils; drives great, my grandma manages in it.

Ran Rallitek 22/19 HOLLOWs, they were great for me as well. (They are for sale in great condition if anyone wants to PM me) Had the opportunity to upgrade and did.

Transport Canada also put out the same recall in June. - http://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/...ocial_media_14

I went to the dealership and had my VIN run and I'm not one of the affected vehicles.

The service manager was surprised I asked about my vehicle as he said only the Outbacks were affected. I told him the Transport Canada recalled the Forester, Impreza, WRX and STI's too.

at least they let us know "quickly", unlike a GM which waited a decade plus to let it's customers know... If I lived down south I might consider something else but up north, for the price, quality, and features, not much can beat it... Only time I've heard of warranty denials are on "heavily" modded cars (I've had 3 Subies so far personally and my immediate family has owned 6 and never had an issue)... On my 09 I had a stage 1 tune, AEM CAI, short shifter, bushings, springs, wheels etc and had a cam seal leak... they took care of it no issues at all...

side note fellas...

its been about 5k miles since i had my KWs put on, and a few things... be patient with me since this is my first set of coilovers

-i know coilovers are a bit more maintenance, but in terms of what? do i need to be wiping these things down every so often or double checking tightness or something?

-the steering wheel seems to have a bit more play. for example, if the steering wheel was held straight, there is about 1-1.5 inches of right/left play before i get a reaction from the front wheels. what will fix this? steering rack bushing?

-after going over medium to larger bumps, the car seems a bit unsettled like it will veer slightly slight or right. I'm assuming bushing will fix this too?

-how much more vibration is expected at speed? at 70+ mph the steering wheel starts to vibrate and shimmy a bit. and this only starts at 70

Seems like you might need new inner tie rods and did you get an alignment about you installed the Kw s ? Seems like there is not issue with the shock but older components on you car.

As well a vibration at a certain speed is caused by the wheel being UN balanced .

-i did get an alignment
-recently had wheels balanced too (done at the same time of the coilover install)
-the vibration became more apparent after i had my brakes done 2 weeks ago...new rotors, master cylinder brace, pads
