Please Help!!! Quick!
I spent about an hour this morning installing my new Unorthodox underdrive pulley yesterday. The stock belts were too short even when I tighten the alternator and the A/C tensioner all the way. I went to Shucks and the only five groove belt that they had was too short. Can I use a 4 groove for the alternator instead of the stock five groove! Please give me ideas. Thanks!

no way man, order the belt specified for use with your pulley. where ever you ordered your pulley from should have the belts too, if not, i am almost 100% certain that Cobb tuning has the belts.

More specifically, most distributors that I have come across actually bundle the necessary belts with the pulley when you order it. And no, never run a belt of the wrong width - that's asking for trouble.
Go to Pepboys, I have been told that they stock Gates belts in an array of sizes. Somebody on the board here said they actually got the belts they needed from a local Pepboys, can't remember who it was, though. |

I bought it from Cobb Tuning and no belt were included! Were they supposed to be?

Most auto parts stores have a measuring device for belts. Take your stock one in there and find two or thre slightly below the stock one in .5" increments and then you should have the right one. Then just return the unused ones. Frank

Yeah, I think Cobb bundles in the belts normally. I ordered mine from Cobb, and it came with the necessary belts. Don't know why you didn't get them...
If you need them, I can look at my belts and get the part #'s you would need, assuming you are going with Gates belts... |

I got mine from Cobb last week, they even advertise that the belts are included on the page.
Call, complain, get your belts! |

This is the third post in the last week from Scooby owners talking about ordering stuff and not getting ALL the included parts, what gives?
