WRX rear bumper are a little different from STI, one being the part where the fender flare meets the bumper, on STIs, it's a lot wider hence why yours doesn't exactly fit and look right.

got them. Not painted yet. I have a lil problem...a while ago I rolled and pulled my fenders lil bit and now the flares need some fabrication in order to fit properly.

Doesn't really flow well with rear bumper in my opinion.

I would just stick with their side strakes and rear spats.

Yes I know why the flares do not look right, I know the difference between the two bumpers.
Thats why I removed them, I dont have the STi rear bumper so the flare can continue. I do not plan on getting a STi bumper, so off they came.

The OEM ones have double sided tape as well as 4 clips...you have to drill holes in the fender and it takes some skill to do it perfectly. I just pulled my rear bumper supports so that the bumper matches the flare but there is a small gap between the top of the bumper and rear quarter panel, but not horrible, especially since the flares match up to the body perfectly on the rest of the car. I also cut the inner lip and part of the body panel to fit my wider wheels/tires under there...has more clearance than rolling the fenders alone.
Just a small correction... STi came in PSM in 04 and 05. My 04 STi was PSM actually...

On another note, the flares don't look too bad, but would definitely look better with the STi rear bumper.

Are they tapered at the end to try and match the bumper, or is it a direct STi fender flare clone?

Mine are oem Subaru flares, and I color match painted them myself. I pulled the rear bumper to match the flare of the flares but it leaves that small flat gap above the bumper as you can sort of see in the photo. I think it looks better this way rather than leaving the bumper alone:

Bumper pulled and before paint:

After paint:

Awesome white wheels...what are they? I couldn't seem to find any of the right size in white.

I was debating between gold and white wheels exactly like those...nobody rocks white spoke style wheels on a silver car and I love it.

Nice setup by the way.

They are Team Dynamics Monza, 17x7, cant remember the offset, but its high. I am on 25mm spacer to shove them out a bit and clear brembos. Painted gloss white. You are right, there are not many that run this style in white. I love them.
