Default How do you install in the left vent

I want to put a boost gauge in the left dash vent but I cant find any DIY on it at all. I started to try to do it but am unable to get it out of the dash. Im thinking you have to remove the dash to do it but figured Id save some hardship and ask if there are any tricks or secrets on how to do it. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

But now that you know it's called "a-pillar vent gauge" your searches will yeild results like this:
