Hey guys, I bought the 05 manual shift boot but it does not have an opening at the top to go pass the "reverse lift" on the STI shifter. Anyone know how to get the 05 boot to work with the sti shifter?

Anyone know if the Armrest extension for the '04 will work on the 05-06 console armrest?
I found most of everything needed for under $200 shipped. Rob |

no it will not. I have an arm rest extension for the 05-07 console if you want it. It does not have the hinge that connects the extension to the console though. Other than that it is perfect.

I see that you need the bezel from an 06 TR so the early style hvac fits, I might seem dumb for asking but what does TR mean?

ok so according to what i have read from above... I cant use the e-brake from my 04, I have to either bend it or replace it with the 05+ one, correct? also, I will need the radio bracket thing so my radio will sit. what if I am using a double din.... would i still need that bracket? |

As for the radio bracket, I'm pretty sure you'll need the 05+ bracket. If you use the stock 02-04 radio mounting brackets the radio will not be aligned properly and you won't be able to fit the tr bezel, because the radio will sit too high. I tried to use the 02-04 brackets with my oem double din and I encountered this problem. |

I've got all the parts for this swap sitting in my room. I am only missing a couple of brackets (according to the seller) Pictured are the 2 brackets I have. This big one and the one on the bottom of the storage area of the console. What brackets do I still need so I can get the part numbers off that first post and order them? Thanks for the help.

Three questions for anyone who has done this. I have a full 05 STI center that I'm installing in my 04 wrx.
1) Is it okay to unplug my security box so I can remove my e-brake? 2) I have the 05+ climate control knobs. Is it a plug and play with my 04 harness or will I need to mess with that as well? 3) And does anyone have any pictures of where hey re-located their side mirror adjustment button? Thanks |

I did the swap it was quite easy an straight forward the only other bracket you need is the one that goes bellow the air bent it small little brackent but you can still do the swap if you dont have it your air vents will just slide in and out by hand

2) not plug and play, unless you have a master's in electrical engineering then its not worth attempting. 3) 05+ door cars, mine still hasn't been moved all the way over due to me being super lazy. If you want to see mine / need a hand with your install let me know. |
