This why you learn to do your own vehicle maintenance.
My mother in laws 2004 Jaguar X-Type needs brakes. All four corners are worn out. 40,xxx miles and her composite rotors can't be turned and need replaced....plus new pads.
Are you sitting down? Jag dealer........$1900 Friend who works for a dealership........$1200 My cost for parts and free labor.....$600 Total Savings: $600-$1300 Please tell me theres not some special $900 wrench I need to do this in my garage.

One of the rear caliper pistons turns in the counter clockwise. I think its the left rear but i dont remember.
The fronts are strait foward. |

Toyotas and VW have used that rear caliper piston style for years. Just get the cheapo tool that goes on your socket wrench from pepboys to do it.

Yeah, somewhat common. My conquest has them, or at least something similar. The tool is a cube that fits on a socket with little prongs of different sizes coming out of each side for a somewhat universal fitment.
I just bought mine for like $8 |

No shizzle, before I got married my wife was taking her car to the dealer for everything because they treated her well. No surprise that they were treating her well, I got the mailer for her 60k mile service and the estimate was almost $500 and all they were actually going to replace was the oil, filter, air filter, cabin filter, and some fluids. The rest of the charges were labor to inspect parts. WTF? I went through their checklist, replaced parts and fluids, and signed the sheet as a tech. 3 hours and $100 later I saved about $400.
