So it looks like we only had 2 Evo's from the SvM Cup do 1/4 runs. There is another drag racing event at the end of the year. Hopefully we can get more people out there (myself included).

Current points standings:

Mitsubishi: 8 points

Subaru: 3 points

I'm talking with Chris at Cobb right now. I'm hoping to do it at the end of May or beginning of June.

Damn. I'm going to be out of town (out of the country, actually) for this event. I'll see if we can get another good Evo showing.

I'm out of town for this one, too. I will be out at MSR Cresson with the Driver's Edge on the 19th, though.

We are getting a good representation for this autocross event.

Mitsubishi:
6 entrants with 4 people in the SvM cup.

Subaru:
5 entrants with 3 people in the SvM cup.

Is Brandon Slater an active member on NASIOC? I don't think I have met him before.

This will be my first autocross with the wrx! I'm not new to autocross, used to Autocross a Saturn sc2( lol).
Anybody got any advice? Awd handles totally different from fwd. The car is all stock besides Cobb stg1+ aem.

I wish I could have gotten a fsb but I guess I'll get a good baseline before sways.

Dyno day at Cobb Plano has been finalized! We will be holding it on June 3rd.

It will work like this:
Cobb can dyno 16 cars in 1 day.
We will split it up for 8 Subaru's and 8 Mitsubishi's to start.
Since there are not 8 Subaru's signed up for the event yet, I doubt they will fill up.
After a certain amount of time has passed, we will open up the remaining spots to the wait listed people.
This will be run like any normal dyno day. I'm hoping that Cobb can organize some prizes and food for all that attend. But we haven't worked out any details as of yet.

Remember, you will only be able to dyno your car if you are participating in the Cup. So if you are interested in the dyno day or any other events, please join now so that we can get you a shirt and some stickers.

Awesome, welcome! What year is your WRX? My 2010 is on the same tune stg1 + aem. My biggest advice is to get on the power early, there's a lot of lag in our motor/transmission combo. Also youll want to play with the traction control to see what you hate worse, open diffs or throttle reduction. lol

Also fosgate is FAST! I would take him up on that offer

We have also finalized the first event with Texas Rallysport! We will be joining them for the race at Brianne Corn Raceway on June 23 down in Maxwell, TX.

I really want to go down there to try this out. It looks like a ton of fun and I've heard that they have improved the surface a lot. So, anybody with stock ride height should be fine.

@Roidrage I have a web 11 WRX. And yes I will probably run with the traction control off because it's SO invasive with it on.

What tire PSI are y'all running. I was thinking of inflating mine up an extra 2-4lbs and just checking them after each run as the temps go up.

It was nice to meet a couple of you at the autocross. I thought more were going to show up, i guess the rain in the morning scared some of them away.

I learned ALOT since this was my first Autocross in the WRX. Now to start Modding the suspension and brakes!

So how do we register for the MSR event? Do we need to visit Don Herring Mitsubishi in Plano?

Also For the Cobb Dyno day, is it first come first serve or do we register in advance? I know we have spots reserved for the competition but not clear on the rest.

Thanks!

It is time to start the signup sheet for the June 3rd Dyno Day at Cobb Tuning in Plano. Cobb has graciously donated drinks for the event but you will be on your own for food.

Cost is $45 and you will get 3 pulls while measuring boost and AFR. Payment will be due when you dyno your car.

This dyno day is only open to those that are signed up for the Subaru vs. Mitsubishi Cup.
The :30 slots are reserved for Subaru's.
The :00 slots are reserved for Mitsubishi's.

Time slots are as follows:
9:30 - IMPdemon
10:00 - Evo_someday
10:30 - S2k to Evo X
11:00 - bonsuz01
11:30
12:00 - ToddE
12:30
1:00 - Lunch
1:30 - Lunch
2:00
2:30 - RoidRage
3:00 - justin81
3:30
4:00 - Ralliart_Dtown

Post up in this thread which time you would like and I'll make the changes as more people sign up.

Since there are not enough Subaru's currently participating, I will open the remaining spots to any Mitsubishi that wants to dyno their car in a few days.

I grabbed the 2:30 slot, I'll probably be there well before noon though.
