Do you really see yourself taking your center console apart every time you want to adjust it? And how often do you need to adjust your throw/shifter length? I'm personally going with the KB and bushings....just as soon as I get my car!!!! |

There's literally three times more reviews on the KB than the cobb... All positive. The only logical scenario here is that you are hearing voices in your head telling you these things... And they are lying.

Lol never said Kartboy was bad, maybe you just have trouble reading?? I'm not so sure, all I said was I havnt heard too many good reviews on it. From personal friends of mine who have ran kartboy, they havnt liked it. So that's what I'm going by. I havnt read any reviews about it online because what my friends have told me. Maybe it is one of the best SS out there. Yes I've also heard and read for myself the stripping issues with Cobb, however those are also reviews I've read from people installing them their first time and have lost washers or could not get it to fit. The main reason I was interested in it is for the ability to choose how low you want your throw to be. Yea obviously nobody is going to be stupid enough to make it so low they have trouble getting into gears. It's all based on personal preference, so if you like KB, great, if you prefer Cobb, awesome. Buy an spt S/T for all anyone cares. If its your car, you should do what makes you happy. I will go ahead and take a look at some KB reviews myself online since so many of you seem to talk it up, if its a better SS then sure why not get it. Like I said I just like the adjustability from Cobb.

No one mentioned you saying kartboy was bad, so yeah...must be bad at reading. Just that your opinion was odd for all the positive reviews kartboy has with their SS.
Do a bit of research and you'll find the cobb is a bit less desired for the exact reason you want it... The adjustability is not necessary and can fail. |

I've never bothered to look up reviews on the KB SS, just went for what I've heard through friends of mine on older models. I like the Cobb for adjustability is all, but like I said earlier ill check out the KB, may even be cheaper than the Cobb, idk.

So what you're saying is that you really have no idea and you're just talking out of your ass.

It actually is cheaper by a good amount. $200 for a STS and Bushings as supposed to a $175 + cost of bushings which you are probably going to too with KBs.

I ordered my car 3/16 and dealer told me ETA July, are they under promising and going to over perform and my car will show up in June? 16 weeks seems longer then what I've been reading. Car is base wrx hatch in DGM with SS and Mirror if that matters in CHIcago

You'll probably get it earlier. Bases with less additional add ons have been getting to owners faster from what I see. Now if you were me who ordered a SWP STI 5 DR, you'd be screwed...

I guess of from what I've heard previously means talking out of my ass then I guess so. Never purchased a KB product yet nor have I used one. So far as I'm concerned anyone who chimed in saying how KB is the best, and has never purchased a product either, obviously is talking out of their ass as well. If you've had prior experience with a KB product and it is in fact worthy of purchasing then there's no reason why it shouldn't receive a good review. I just went by what I've heard, never personally used one though. But like I said ill read up on them.

Yeah I saw SWP are really popular and seem to be longest wait. It was between SWP and DGM for me and timing played a part in my color choice, a small factor but def was on my pros list for DGM. Add to that STI, I bet the wait is killing you. I'm already itchin and its only week 1! Scoping out parts for the time being which seems to be the normal thing to do while waiting haha

FYI.Have the car Tuned ASAP.
Factory Tune just sucks and is downright dangerous. It has a stumble around 2500 RPMS. Brake that thing in gently, change the Oil around 500 ,and 1000 miles, and go to the reputable Tuner. Save your Engine Girls and Boys! |
