Default finally in car videos of my cammed RS.

two short videos of the cammed 2004 2.5RS. the car has yet to be tuned which it needs badly it is running so rich it's misfiring so it should pick up some more power once that is done. it will still pin you back in the seat though.

Any idea on how to get rid of the CEL? I mean other than pulling the bulb?

Are you getting misfire codes, or do you actually feel the car misfiring? If it's the former, don't count on that CEL going away. I've been throwing misfire codes for 3 years now, a combination (I think) of the cams and a lightweight flywheel.

He has and SPT peformance exhaust.

You guys that are having misfires... What kind of fly are you running and what cams? Are they like 12 lbs flys and like really big cams? I'm scared to do this now because I'll every 2 years need to smog.

cheers

i have spicy cams and a 14lb exedy

the misfire only comes up every 40-200 miles, especially if i drive it well to warm up before letting it sit and idle. it always comes up when i'm idling, never when driving.
so if i time it right, i can pass inspection

I hear the CEL is not common but does happen when you run spicy cams. If you run street cams I'm told you shouldn't get CEL's. I'm told.

cheers

ive got the same problem, misfiring from TWE cams, there is a way to get rid of the misfire but the CEL may stay there.
