Default LS460R Bi-Xenon Retrofit

Because of what I do daily (sell retrofit parts), I have to go nuts here.

- LS460R Bi-Xenons
- STi-R Clear Lenses
- Orange-painted cutoff shield
- Matsu****a G5 ballasts, waterproofed, mounted to OEM housings
- Osram CBIs

It's going to be a SUPER tight fit too

LS460s painted orange:

Which gives this look when assembled:

What tuned LS460s look like:

The backup pair of housings arrived today so the real fun begins tonight/tomorrow.

Later update: May not be too bad if the bowl is 145mm wide. The 460 is about 130.

Cheers!

Today's lesson:

1) Remove diffusers since they won't be painted

2) Cut bowl to fit projector:

3) Cut projector to fit bowl:

4) Combine the two:

That's it for today!

You're in the wrong section. Put stuff like this is the electrical/lighting section.

You realize the original post was yesterday and it still hasn't been moved, right?

Good contribution regardless.

Do I smell butthurt noob? Just because a mod doesn't move it in 12 hours doesn't mean it's in the right section. A lot of times they leave it because new retards like you do this all too often.

People still use that "noob" mantra. What a goon.

He may be new to the forum but that is no reason to get mad and call him out. Give constructive criticism and just be polite and say that there is a forum for this sort of stuff.

Anyways..
Great job so far man! Been thinking about doing this for a while now, just haven't mustered up the balls to cut my housings yet

For the high beam position, I have some very special BMW X6 LED fog lights that I will retrofit there. The center "beam" of the fog light will be painted body color as well.

Do you typically paint the inside of the light flat black?

Also can you describe what modifications to the electrical will require. Im know its not a direct plug and play without some type of electrical box

All of the surfaces inside that are chrome, except for what is under the clear diffuser for the parking lights, will be painted gloss black.

For the wiring, I will use a simple relay setup to source power from the battery directly.

Looks like it is turning out great. My TRS retro is still ticking along quite nicely. The LS460's and X6 high beams will be pretty sick.

This is getting very interesting. How much would a retrofit like this cost someone between parts and labor?

If I had money to blow I would definitely either do this myself or have someone else do it. I'm pretty happy with my H11 to H9 conversion, though

A vendor of this site? Likely not as ROI is usually pretty low.

It's all going to be black anyways, so I'm not too concerned with the marker.
