Best of luck! I'm sure you'll win a lot of customers being probably the first suby to accomplish that

This is why kids should not have STIs (yes, at 21 you are still acting like a kid), they come on the forums feeling entitled. Just stop posting, you lost all credibility several posts ago. People that try to flaunt their financial situation really aren't that bright and you have thoroughly shown that trend in this thread.

sorry, wasnt trying to flaunt anything, only stated that to prove a stupid point.

I had asked for this to be taken to PM's but these guys are relentless and keep attacking on AMS thread instead.

Yep! I said it before, and for those playing at home, I'll say it again.

Congratulations to AMS, and Eric Gaudi! I wish we could drive a car as good as they could, if so we'd have a 9 second car going down the strip, not one doing 10.1@143.

We'd kill to have an Eric Jones for our drag driver, and god knows I'd love to have a Martin or Chris here to help with the tuning load.

Give me 3 Eric Gaudi's to help with sales and marketing, and we'd be set!

See, I have nothing but respect for those guys. I, like others, have been a customer over there, and used them several times for welding and fab work.

Nothing but good can come from the competition this brings to the midwest. It motivates all of us to not sit back and ride the wave. It forces us to innovate or die.

Wow!

I've got my green. For my purposes I chose the 8cm2, 3" inlet model. Since I live in a really hot climate I also chose a FMIC. I like to drive the snot out of it. A lot. I installed many supporting mods as I could over the past few months. Now I just wish I had my car back from body shop where she is currently under the knife to make her w i d e r.

I'm still interested to see what AMS will do with my personal choice in streetable, affordable snails. Especiallly since AMS has been giving up some good, objective data. And the fact that Chris from AMS comes here to Hawaii's Big Island to tune our cars makes it even more pertinent.

But wait... I woke up this morning to read all this slightly soapy operatic dramatic fantastic stuff^^^^^

Wow. I thought we were rapping about a testing a turbo here? eeeeGADS I need a hanky. And some bro bell...

and some mutherfunkin CORN!!!!!!

ibtl dammit. BOOOO This thread started sooooo well too.

btw Assami - When I bought my Green Robert from FP was very helpful in that he aided me in making my choice. Perhaps a pm or an email to him should help you find the answers to your questions. GL & let the search be with you.

Like Jorge said, I don't think it's so much as the set up as the driver. When I was at the shoot out, for the part I managed to stay awake for, I saw Eric's car running consistent times with consistently good launches. I also saw STi's with at least exhausts struggling to even break into the 13's. Like Eric said, AMS hasn't done anything revolutionary here, but it still shows they're at least on par with other established Subaru tuners.

I don't see P&L and AMS as on the same level, not to say Jorge and Martin/Chris aren't equally good tuners, because I think they are, but AMS has the quickest/fastest Evos in the world on both the drag strip and on the circuit (probably because they have more resources). Personally, I'd love to see P&L be at that level, but for whatever reason (I'm guessing money and time) they haven't taken it to that next step. It's too bad though, because in my opinion a friendly rivalry can only help. The tuners learn from each other, and it pushes them to try new things to best each other. This in turn trickles down to us, the consumers, giving us more options and cheaper prices. This is why I hope Devo will make a faster drag car than AMS and that GST will beat AMS at a time attack event, because it'll send them back to the drawing board and try to get back on top.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this. If you guys ever decide to build an unlimited class time attack car (or finish the gc), just want you guys to know I'll be rooting for the Suby ;]

Well I can say that im extremely dissapointed in how this thread turned out. This is and was always intended to be an informative thread about our testing and findings.

Pavel, I know have some things going on the side with P&L but please keep them out of this thread. I dont know your personal situation but as an outsider looking in whether you are right or wrong it looks bad that you are bringing into the publics eye. We do appreciate all the nice things you have to say about us and love your continued support.

Jorge, I cannot get upset at you for standing your ground. god knows I would but please do me the favor and keep it out of this thread.

on a side note I was very happy to read all the nice things you wrote about us. Coming from you that does mean alot

Moderators, If you could be so kind as to clean this thread up I would really appreciate it. I think that closing this thread would do a disservice to the site as there is alot of really good info in here.

BACK ON TOPIC: Last night I put the carbon trunk on and our small battery. combined I shed about 60lbs off the car. I plan on taking out the spare tire, passenger seat and possibly even the exhaust at the track to see what the car has in it the way she sits. Personally I see an 11.40 @ 118 in it without adding the EWG.

Removing the exhaust? As in just an open downpipe? Interesting... and no restriction whatsoever there! Do it at night and get some pics!

Please don't delete this thread. There is useful infomation in here! Real data and results. Lets sweep it up. Back on track. I know others would like to see this thread. Granted, there are a lot of older threads about this turbo, but we all know how much people like to search.

Eric, congrats on an awsome run. I cant wait to see what you guys do next in the subie community. In a year or two i'll be ready for a giant turbo (35r+) and hopefully by then you guys will have a kit out. If you guys have as big of an impact on the subie world as you've ahd on the evo world you guys are going to have a lot of work to keep you guys busy.

Any thoughts on coming out with a rotated kit along the lines of a kit you released for the evos (header/uppipe/turbo/ewg/downpipe) or is that going to be later down the road once you have some more time working with these cars?

I wish you guys the best of luck! Cant wait to see a 10second timeslip on a green.

As for the other bull**** going on int his thread...wow...I understand standing your ground and protecting your business but this thread was definitly not the place to do it.

Foo, forget about P&L. You obvioulsy dont want anything to do with them (or maybe you do), and they sure as hell dont want anything to do with you. You guys should let this stop here and move on!

Thank you Leonardo, I really appreciate the clean up. I think this thread has alot more great info left in it and Im glad that we can continue with that.

Thanks again guys for all the complimetns.

AS for making a rotated mount Turbo kit, I don't think we could call ourselves AMS anymore if we didnt make you guys a really nice Turbo kit. We have already begun working with some REALLY exciting and innovative products that have yet to be seen in the subaru world and I think everyone will be really impressed when they hit the shelves.
