Default bling factor?

so how much bling factor does the sti have? i mean, sure, we here on nasioc knows the heritage behind the gold rims, rear spoiler and such.....but for a majority of the people out there, they are not going to know bout these things........

i mean, if you're not familar w/wrc and such, this car will look like a rice-mobile.....look at it, the big-@ss hoodscoop, whale-tail, gold rims.....and u know people will be throwing on some 4 in. tips

so, how much bling does the sti represents?

The car is for you, not others. Who cares what other people think. I am against changing the appearance of the STi, but if you do.. it's your car.

Well I think it's blingie, and other non in-the-know people may think it's definate "bling bling" but I don't care about those people anyway. I don't think it's anything over the top, no more than a corvette with its chrome wheels and less than the last supra with its wing.

But it's all opinion and we know about those....

ObsidianRS: No flames intended, but I really do think a Vette don't really look ricy at all... Yes, the huge wing on the Supra was really looking ricy but as for Vette or almost any other factory car, none look like the wing on the STi. For me, it's the only thing, for all the other things (pink STi logos or whatever else) it's ok.

Just wait till the magazine reviews come out on the car, then it will remove a lot of the bling from the STi's over the top looks.

Sure its a bit extreme with the hood scoop and the wing, but its got the performance to back it up, just like the Supra and the Cobra R.

People will know about this car, its not some cult classic. Just about everyone knows what a wrx is already anyway.

You can buy the car with silver wheels. The wing and hood scoop are very functional (and actually important to the function of the car) -- I know that has been discussed to death.

I don't see what else on the car could be called ricey except perhaps the tail lights.

While not ricer, it's pratically bathing in the boy-racer image.

Like a type-r or Si, on the outside they have just a few subtle additions- wing, front dam, skirts. But they are still stock, and if you leave it that way its not riced out.
I dont think the STi is overdone or riced out, its been pre-pimped at the factory.
At least it doesnt come with altezzas,
cough!

I consider rice body pieces that haven't been painted, ugly bits, poorly designed bits, etc. I've seen some things on cars that people might label rice due to habit but I see it as an improvement and a worthy upgrade.

You're not getting it (or maybe I'm not)... the Spec C has NO RADIO, why would it need a radio antenna?

Lighter glass is in the back not the front windshield.

No kidding superstar, that's where the in-glass antennas are-in the rear glass.

85% of the general public will never be impressed by a Subaru. (which IMO is part of the appeal).

OK nice guy, know the difference between a windshield (or screen if you prefer) and a backlight?

I was wondering if you could get the stickers removed.

hell, they're stickers anyway. In 5 years they'll probably be peeling.

of course in 5 years it will be a slow-ass POS!
