Default Has anyone ran the "Rota D-Force 18x9.5 +40 5x114" wheels?

I own a 2008 STI, I was thinking about buying the Rota D-Force 18x9.5 +40 5x114 wheelswith 275/35/18 Proxe4 tires. The +40 has me worried. Is this a ok setup?

Thanks in advance for and feedback or comments.

You'll need to roll in the rear.

And I'd hope you pick a different size of tire if this is going to be your daily driver set up.

I'll be running these wheels on an 05 STI with 235/40/18 tires. I'm actually going to put them on tomorrow. I'll be rolling my fenders and adjusting my suspension. If you want some pictures to compare I'll gladly send you some.

why only 235? why not 255? 18x9.5 +40 with a 255 is EASY to fit.

i don't see what's so funny other than stretching a 235 on a 9.5" wheel with a high offset.

Whats the reason why running 275s is a bad idea? Fender rubbing issues? Too wide = MPG pig?

BTW, thanks everyone for the insight!

Here is some other pics I found.

And then on a older Gen, mine is a 08.

clean.....

Do you think a 255/35/18 will fit a 9.5 rota g-force with a 35 offset on a 04 wrx...

Rodder, I am guessing you are being ironic, but I'm not sure.

My daily-driver 2008 STI has 275-width tires on it, as do several of our customers' cars. The rear fenders are rolled on all those cars.

275 on a GD chassis is as lot more difficult to fit, though.
