I just bought a 2012 in September and can't seem to leave it alone. But I have modified cars for a very long time. I don;t know how old you are but I'm coming up on 38 and still enjoy it. Although I do mods now that are more "healthy" to my cars lifespan these days.

I am also about to turn 38 (this June) and I've been messing with cars since I got my hardship license & my first car in '92. I've had everything from a 79 mustang with a full swap from a 92 mustang, to a fully built race-ready '69 firebird. The Chevy I was in the process of building was going to blow away any car I've ever had.

I don't know...maybe I'm just tired of messing with cars that depreciate in value even quicker once you start messing with it?

I also have a daughter now who I love spending every free moment i have with, more than I like messing with cars.

I am about to turn 48 in July. I got my new 03 WRX in March 03. I have 96,000mi on it. My only mods are Hella horns an intake silencer delete with a K&N drop-in,Kartboy SS+bushings and Whiteline steering-rack bushings plus end-links. That is only because the stock ones failed.

It is in pristine condition. People tell me they can't believe it's 10yrs old. The only thing that shows it's age is the wear mark on the drivers side floor mat. It shines like a new dime!...Do Rally Armor mud flaps and window tint count as a mod?...I think I WIN!!!

I originally said I wouldn't mod my 2011 when I bought it, but that lasted about a month. Went up to stage II levels and have been happy with the power ever since. Now my focus has been mostly been on bushings and suspension.

After a couple more bushings, I'll probably leave it alone for a while...or at least that's what I say now haha

My first Subaru, my first turbo. I got a cat-back exhaust just after break-in because I wanted that throaty sound, and now I have 5500 miles on it, stock. I am dying to get it tuned, just lazy I guess.

I purchased my 03 WRX wagon bone stock from an older guy with 83,1xx miles on it. Within a month of having it on the road I put in a Kartboy SS and a Cusco shift knob (I have Kartboy Shifter bushings waiting to be put in). Hopefully by the summer I'll have a stage 2 set up in it.

Stock. Unless the factory short throw counts as a modification.

1995 Legacy with 217,900 miles on it that has never seen a mod in its life. I am the second owner of the car, I bought it for $1,700 from a highly OCD family member who had it inspected/serviced every 3k miles for its entire life. I have no plans to mod or beat on it and I expect it to last well past 250k and recoup some of that money when I eventually sell it.

Reminds me of when I used to want to have the latest phones... tech's progress so fast, others with more money can beat you to it... much like chasing the wind. But it's okay to mod, just "know" when to stop. I'm still stock basically... just deflectors & mudflaps for the last 13k...

Stock! Wife just spent 3500.00 on a new shotgun for me, but I can't convince her, that an A.P. is necessary. RP

My thoughts exactly. This is why I pretty much never post on general discussion threads, they are never on topic.

2013 wrx 5 door here. 3500 miles completely stock other than mudflaps and an aftermarket sound system.

Planning on going stage 2 eventually and leaving it there.

By eventually I mean however long I can keep myself from buying an accessport... trying to keep my warranty intact

Nope, not a WRX or an STi. It's not even a turbo. Besides, I wouldn't mod a USED leggie either. He also said he had no plans to mod.

If we want to include leggies, my nephew also has a 95 leggie wagon that hasn't had a mod in its life. He is the gazillianth owner, has well over 230,000mi and it's unmodded. It looks rough but he just had it checked out and it's macanically sound. He says it's the best pizza delivery car he's ever had!

My FXT is as stock as it was the day it left the showroom. I'm considering just a DP+tune to up the gas mileage (which is pretty poor for anyone thinking they might want one). My WRX is a moneypit-modwhore though.

Well...I sort of want to lift it, but I want it to last. When the shocks go it will probably get a Forester suspension and bigger tires.
