Default Any one need some FREE furniture and some garage stuff?

OK. I am playing super-dad/husband here and I realize I simply can't do everything at once right now.

Beyond helping Amy with the baby, and working, I'm packing the house to move. There are two pieces of furniture that we've decided to not take with us to the new house. So on a first come, first serve basis. If someone wants to make arrangements between tonight and next monday to grab them, go for it!.

First is a corner unit type kitchen table that has an L shaped sectional that goes in the corner, a picnic style table, and a picnic style bench on the opposite side of the long part of the L. We bought it at Wicks a few years ago, and it simply won't fit with the new layout of the house. The L sectional benches have storage under the seat bottoms and short of a little wear on the table top itself, are in excellent condition! We paid almost $600 for this back then, come grab it and it's yours...

The other is what I use as a computer table upstairs. It's a kitchen table with a built in leaf extension that can open up or fold down. It's in a light natural finish, and while used and older is in perfect functional and sturdy condition. No chairs or anything, but again.. it's free. It's either someone takes it or it goes in the garbage.

Garage: I have the entire old transmission and parts that need to be rebuilt off my WRX. If you have a 4EAT and want the parts for something like a protorque rebuilt, come and grab them between now and monday, or they go in the trash as well.

Also, for those who've offered (ya'll know who you are). If you're bored this coming Tuesday afternoon/evening, or this coming Wed. evening. We'll be loading and unloading the moving truck respectively. Beer, pop, water, etc will be furnished heh. Give me a call, or hit me up in IRC to get an idea of a head count. I know 8Complex is taking a half a day on Tuesday to help me out. But the more the merrier.

Thanks again all,
Jorge (RiftsWRX)

Come grab it daniel-san, heh.

Looks like Mark (achilles) has dibs on the computer desk. He's coming by with the yo truck tonight, and if he wants it it's his. I'll update if it's gone.

<-- that isn't the exact item, but it's close, just imagine the short end of the L added onto the right side of that pic.

It's like 5x3. Personally, you'd need a truck or van to properly move it.

I'm going straight home from work to start packing and throwing stuff out. Just give me a buzz when you're about 20 mins out and I'll pull the WRX out of the garage and pull out the trans bits. Just bring a big box, or like a rubbermaid container (the large storage ones). it'll make it monumentally easier for you to be able to move stuff around and not let your car get dirty, etc.

thanks for the heads up...i should have a few boxes laying around the house....is this the trans that siezed upon towing from the east coast shootout or the spare trans you bought to scavenge pieces from. /me hopes it's the latter.

but i'll give you a ring on my way there.

it's a mix of both. All things considered Jason. the bearings are the only things that seized in the trans, the clutch packs were in remarkable condition, as were the planetaries, etc. the case is in great shape as well. This is the entire planetary set, so the only thing you'd need is the center diff (cause I rogued it), and a bell housing.

Since it's broken apart to it's component pieces it makes moving it around in a box relatively easy.

Hey Jorge, let me know if you need to get the bike out of the garage, we can work something out this weekend. I can keep it here if you need but it'll be a couple of weeks before I can work on it and get it back to you (I'm swamped).

I'll see how things go and give you a call last minute if I can make either night to help with the move.

That would actually be WONDERFUL, Larry!

Just shoot my cell a call, or PM me your number and I'll shoot you a call.

Bout the only thing I need to try and find would be a ride back from your place since Amy can't really drive right now.

I was intending on giving you a call saturday to help you out. So this would be the ride back to your house you'd need.
