new guy here.. but obviously not new to cars.

owned a toyota truck, GTI, GSR, and 4 BMWs(including a 330d), audis(A4 and A3), and 2 Mercedes, one scion, and now WRX.

OP.. looks great!

and hater.. it's amazing to me that if a mod suits your idea of a mod, it's fine, but if it violate someone's sense of a mod, then you sure have alot of excuses.

everyone agrees the stock tune is bad, and tuning is a great idea.. because either subaru engineer screwed up, or they have other reasons for tuning it that way.

but when someone adds a spacer, people want to claim how perfect setup is in stock(and wheel bearings blah blah) because 'subaru engineer did it'..

have some consistency.. factories don't produce cars in particular ways and their priority is not same as a owner/modder priority. subaru engineers did not select the offset based on same reasons we do. they probably did it because they don't want customers complaining that they get dirt on the side of the cars.

yes, of course, science is there.. further distance from the hub will create greater strain, but guess what? heavier tires and wheels will have the same affect.. and i don't see too many people calling that out.. and considering the pounding that a wheel bearing takes when it's on the pavement, i would say extra 25mm would play a small part in premature wearing of the bearings.

you wouldnt need extended studs? looking into 15 in the front and 25 in the back. Using stock wheels.

does the 25mm rub on stock under fully loaded? looks like a lot more people have 15mm over 25mm...why if 25mm is more flush?

Wow, this is an old thread! Yes, 25mm can rub on stock suspension and wheels/tires. It will depend on your alignment, how many people in your car, and how big of a bump you hit. But it is possible that it will rub occasionally. That is why people opt for smaller.
