Yea.. gonna order some wrb grimspeed paint. I have the primer/clear here already.

I just did my 3rd sanding of it.. in the bath tub
It's really beat up from when I got it. One of the reasons why I took it off and did the scoop delete.

I want to get it painted WRB so I can have choices depending on the weather

edit:

Just finished doing a quick prime in my apartment buildings storage basement lol.

Before: You can see all the clearcoat and gashes from the original finish. I sanded it with 80 and 150, 3x15min sessions due to not have proper facilities haha. I smoothed everything over so my finger doesn't catch in any of the gashes.

Primed.. going to let it dry overnight and I'm going to sand down the roughnes/uneveness. Still waiting for the blue paint.

Damn, i was gonna say if you can get it sanded enough that it would look good re-cleared i would have just given you my wrb scoop for it.

I have a CF scoop that needs sanding and to be re cleared. But for some reason non of the bolt holes line up, so i have to re-drill them all. Yours atleast i know bolts on.

sounds like you got a bugeye sti scoop?

I figured I can reuse the Cf scoop. A little spring break project for me. One of the reasons why I wanted to keep it was it's a little taller than the STI one. I almost threw it out when I did the hood delete due to the condition it was in.. so now I'm missing the splitter and all the hardware for putting the scoop on. Anyone seen this kind of hardware before?

It's a rectangle tab that slides into a holder on the scope.. if you put the splitter/hood on the thread and put a 5mm nut on it. It looks like something straight out of an IKEA instruction manual. Wen to homedepot and lowe's today and couldn't find anything similar. I have a feeling I'm going to have to order something online... in quantity... 100+ lol

Looks like these things, get one of these, glue a 1/4-28 set screw in there, then a washer on top of it and you'll have that... haha

Well the car is going down to Wicked; I think I have a burnt valve at this point.

If its internal, I'm going to just have Wicked do the new motor install since it won't be worth fixing the 2.0 in there.

Mhm, with a new VF34 to boot.

I saw the commotion Omw into Boston on the green line. They've shut down a bunch of stops.

NAPA sells custom mixed spray-cans. Just give them the color code for WRB and they'll mix up a subaru color in a can for you. It's quite handy.

Hey guys, does anyone know of anyone with a truck/trailer that can get my car down to Wicked? The person I had lined up can't get his truck on the road at the moment and can't tow me. I would be incredibly grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction/connect me with someone who can tow my car.

I will obviously reimburse for time/gas/food.

Again, I really appreciate any help guys.
