Hey all. How has everyone been? I've been hauling downhill bikes and a small trailer for my pitbike with my 2.5i, loving it as a daily.
Looking to put some more funds towards the Audi so i'm taking off my mint Magnaflow Catback on my 08 2.5i sedan. I'm in North Jersey. You guys in this thread get first dibs before I list it in the Classifieds/Craigslist. Anyone know the OEM part numbers for the (2) rear exhaust gaskets when putting the stock system back on? Thanks!!! |

Rides great little stiffer then stock but not killer, only problem is I think my top hats are starting to go so I tend to get a clunk and squeak driving around, I'm either going to get new ones or sell these and go coilover just not sure which one I would go with.

I was looking at those, when I'm not lazy I'm gonna jack up the rear and shake the hell out of everything to try and hear where the problem is... I also bought stock suspension with 25k on it so maybe I'll swap some stuff because my car has 76k and that's alot of miles on the stock top hats

Yeah maybe I'll grease the sway bar bushings again and put the rear sway back to soft. I changed so many bushings I don't wanna deal with greasing them, I'll try to find a spare or something.

I'm in the middle of creating a simple wiring harness for some auxiliary lighting. My question is about bringing wires through the firewall.
Do the n/a cars only have rubber grommets on the passenger side? Meaning I'll have to bring all the wiring across the dash to the driver side? |

Well... Im trying to install Some 3 mm hub centric spacers and for some reason they wont fit on the front hubs. I measured the spacer and its 56.11mm wide then I measured the hub and its 56.09mm so it should fit but it wont. I tried it on the rears and they slipped on no problem. I hate when something that should be easy isn't.

As for passenger side grommet, does it just pull off from the engine bay? |

There's a big one on the driver side, that's what I used for all my wiring. |

The grommet is below the glove box and about 6" up. If you take a 6" bit driver and use some electric tape to wrap the wire to that you can pierce through the grommet and be able to grab and pull from inside the car. Remember that once your wiring is through, to use some electrical tape and make a seal connecting the wire to the grommet (for moisture purposes). I did this when installing my amp, it was a pain in the ass in my 10 degree garage in the dead of winter. |

Thanks everyone, I managed to pull out the larger grommet on the passenger side. With nearly the whole dash out of the car I realized that I only needed to take off the glove compartment to fish the wires through.
Not sure if its proper or best but I made a small hole through the grommet and ran the two prices of 16 gauge through the hole. Once I tie everything in place tomorrow I'll seal the grommet with goop or something. But even without its probably water tight as the hole is so small. I then wired everything up, only have to fish the wire to the switch on the drivers side. Got the idea from Kartracer with his LED china bar, cant best the price. My 24" bar should arrive in a week. I'll post something then. Kartracer: What was the bars power cord made of, I'm hoping just a power and a ground? Last edited by Sellars21; 08-03-2013 at 12:03 AM. |

For everyone whose running coilovers, what brand, how are they for everyday driving(i do about 18k miles a year) and what about for when you hit the track or twisty roads? Kinda thinking of getting rid if the konis and going coils... Have kw v1, tein, or either bc br or bc inverted in mind let me know what you coilover users think... Thanks!!!
