Default Saturn fans create online petition to tell GM to keep the brand

Quote:
While GM hasn’t officially made the announcement, GM’s CEO Rick Wagoner noted that the brand is under review at last week’s congressional hearings. He said the GM will not allocate any money on future Saturn products and said that the brand has performed below the company’s expectations. Wagoner said that GM will focus all of its resources on Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC brands instead.

Not taking the news very well, worried Saturn fans have created an online petition to help keep the unprofitable brand alive.

Kat Koonce, who owns three Saturns, is one of the most devoted Saturn fans amongst the 2,500 that post photos of their cars on Saturnfans.com who is running the petition.
“I just can’t stand the thought of them doing away with Saturn,” said Dianne Pollard of Hixson, Tennessee, another Saturn fan. Pollard created the Sky Club of Chattanooga.
Want to help keep Saturn. Head over to Saturnfan.com to sign the petition. Hate Saturn? Drop a comment in the comments section below and tell us why.

I like the new saturns, but the petition...

GM needs to keep them happy and have the Aura rebadged as a Chevrolet Saturn.

They should keep Saturn and do away with Buick and GMC. I see alot more saturns than buicks on the road and GMCs are just rebadged chevys anyway.

In his defense, Buick doesn't sell crap. Not because they are a luxury car company, but because nobody under the age of 60 buys them. In fact, so few people buy them they've cut the entire lineup down to three vehicles in recent years.

And GMC isn't a luxury company, it's a totally useless sub-brand that sells Chevys.

Saturn on the other hand, sell modest numbers, and have been selling several of GM's best cars for a few years now. The only problem is that they run at a loss, but then again, so does the rest of GM.
