The family and I were there yesterday. We are getting out there pretty much every Sunday. Love that place.

New hecklers are sick bikes. My buddy has one and he's going to be riding it with me at tiger tomorrow morning.

yeah I'm loving it. I've had it since friday and I've alread knocked out 3 solid rides with it. Definitely need to upgrade the drivetrain but that can always wait until later .

How is Tiger? Haven't made it out there yet but I've been planning on it

For used its very possible. I picked up my 09 Bottlerocket for $1100 last fall, but it needed a new bottom bracket. My friend picked up a '10 Bottlerocket in March for $1200.

I think if you're looking at bikes built between 08-10, you can definitely find good used bikes in that range.

yeah that's true. You definitely need to hunt for them though. Alot of people tend to think their bikes are worth way more then they really are IMO. It's kinda like people selling used Subarus

they tend to base it on what they paid for it brand new 7 years ago vs. what is comparable today. I tend to offer a little less than what I think it should be selling at. The guy I bought the BR from had listed it for $1300 which I actually thought was decent and we agreed on $1200 before we met. Then he voluntarily knocked off another $100 when I noticed the bottom bracket was toast.

It worked out pretty good, I thought.

Just locked in a 4 day riding trip in Moab next month.
I felt like I would be in over my head with my camber (riding with a very capable group), and my reign x2 would be too bulky.

I opted to drop the coin and rented a Ibis Mojo. This will prob be a bad choice since I've been eyeballing that bike for years .

I'm seriously looking forward to the ride and getting beat up.

Just finished a great weekend in Bellingham full of beer, bikes, and all sorts of shenanigans. Had a blast. Came back to C. Washington's dry heat. Uggghhh... I'll be lucky to get any rides in this week.

I went over to Lake Chelan last weekend and headed up Echo Valley for some of their XC. Wide, fast trails with a seasonable amount of dust took up most of my Saturday. Sunday was spent riding around town and up the Butte.

The girlfriend has only been riding a month or so, so that's limiting what I've been riding lately. Lots of St. Ed's and local gravel Roads/Paths after work during the week.

so I've got all next week off work and I'm trying to get a good ride in every single day. I'm looking for some quality all-mountain style riding that's anywhere within 2 hours driving distance from Olympia.

Anyone have an suggestions?

I'm also open to freeride/DH trails

This would be my vote, and primary stompin grounds myself.

Go get the new map and go to your hearts content. You could ride several different loops/trails over more than one day and never repeat a trail.

LLMT is the primary new "build for biking only" run which is really fun, berms, gaps, etc. Or go to the peak and come down the classic GL6 or if you are feeling like some rowdy action hit trail 30.

You can shuttle all this to if you are vertically challenged

All great trails! LLMT is super fun, I was shuttling that last Friday after work.

Any more ideas? I've been to duthie several times. I was thinking about checking out Dry Hill up in Port Angeles but my buddy was telling me that it's private property and you can't just go ride it whenever you want to. Can anyone confirm or deny that?

Were you shuttling Wednesday afternoon out of Fall Creek by chance with a big lifted truck?

Never been to Dry Hill but that is a drive for sure. Up that way look at "banner forest", some cool trail riding in there. Half the drive, it's past Bremerton a ways.

Also, go ride Tiger Mtn, paradise valley, or Henry's Ridge. The summit ridge freeride park is a fun place to mess around for a bit. I've never done tokul but I bet you could find some good trails there...need that Hancock pass but if you are seeing time to go get the value from it, I'd invest in that for another spot.

This is a good guide for the area:

they do, but have ridden out there a few times already this year and have not seen or heard of them enforcing it.
