Yeah, because I'm not fully compressing my suspension ever.

I have. It's plug and play for the OEM stereo but you will need an adapter and new harness for aftermarket.

They aren't maxed out at all, they have plenty to go. I also have lowering springs that ride great but the ride height with them is disgusting looking to me

stock wheels obviously and springs on the top and the bottom pic is before moar low

Everyone has their own preferences. Being low is not everyones cup of tea. That being said, by lowering your vehicle significantly, will inevitably rub. Also, ride comfort will be affected. It just comes with the territory.

Nameless muffler-delete on the way, as well as Subaru OEM window visors and hood protector. Excited to finally start modifying my 08 LR 2.5i sedan...contemplating pursuing a set of 08 STI springs and struts I came across. Would this be worth it? My main Goal would just be to lessen wheel gap. Would this be noticeably lower than what we've got stock?

The front struts won't fit unless you modify them. If you want a cheap upgrade get 09+ wrx springs/struts

No noticeable drop. And yes you need 09+ WRX only. Pair those with aftermarket springs and you'll get a nice, *FUNCTIONAL* drop. I'm on swift springs + 10WRX struts, about an inch drop all around. You will want a rear sway bar as well as our 08s didn't come with one. I'll be putting my WRX rear sway bar 16mm(with all needed hardware) up for sale once I get my white lines installed.

I'm sure plenty of you have installed subs but have any of you replaced the OEM satellite speakers? I'm thinking about replacing them while I'm at it. Also considering a back seat sub rather than a trunk one

225/45R17 is ALMOST the same diameter as 205/55R16 (stock).

The problem is your wheel's offset (+35)... way too low.

JourdanWithaU has 17x9 +45 (I believe)... the proper offset for Subaru.

+1. STI's springs fit our car though & lower the front about 0.5" (even out the gaps between front & back).

+35 can work. But you'd need an aggressive alignment. Somewhere in the range of -3* of camber in the front. Stock linkage should workout in the rear.

Yes, I've replaced the stock speakers with a pioneer component system up front and 2 ways in the rear. Modified the stock speaker to work as an adapter. Otherwise you have to buy the adapters online...

I have -2 in the front and -3 in the rear, only problem is my turning radius in the front because of my tire hitting my fender liner

Its all about trial and error man. Maybe you just need a bit more of a pull or play with the alignment. Or bag it haha

You can even put a new head unit and it drastically improves the stock speakers lol

I wouldn't bother replacing HU without a speaker upgrade though.. Stock speakers are absolute garbage.. Just really really bad unless you have the "upgraded" stock speakers that are the two way silver looking things which I guess are pretty good from what people say.

Polk DB are a good cheap replacement, but I had them and upgraded to Alpine SPR-60 and the difference is pretty big in sound quality. For a coaxials they are pretty damn good. I have them amped with 150w RMS each up front though. I think they need an amp. If no amp, maybe the Polks would be better.

Definitely worthwhile if you like your music. The component tweeters clear things up quite a bit, although I feel i might have lost a little midrange bass. Just add a 10" kicker in the trunk. That's what I did.

I know about the natural camber. When I went in for an alignment I was told the rear could not be adjusted. I brought camber bolts with me just in case. When we got under the car the bolts didn't fit the knuckle. I said screw it and went with a little nevitive. This was over a year ago now.

But where on the controle arm can I adjust?
