uni-chip info needed please
Hiya
Im about 2 weeks away from getting my rex, so i am trying to absorb as much info as possible from you experts. The question of the day is uni-chip. ...Yes i did a search.........but still have questions. I have never had to hassel with electronically fine tuning a car, so be kind. 1) What kind of controls do you get with the unichip? i.e. what can you manipulate? 2) How do you analyze your cars performance? Do you have to be able to see your hp/torque curves to effectively tune and program the uni-chip? -or 3) does the uni-chip come pre-programmed for your specific car? -and- 4) if it comes pre-programmed for your specific car, what happens when you get a new mod? can your send it back and have them re-program it? is there a cost? 5) techincally..what is a uni-chip? a piggyback system for stock ecu with EBC 6)what is installation like? super easy? 7)price and where to order one? 8)absolutely any other info you have thanks a bunch guys Jeff

1. I think all you can control is boost with a boost controler.
3. Yes they come pre-programed. 5. The uni-chip is a piggy-back that plugs right into the stock ecu. 7. www.turboxs.com |

...Technically, the Unichip is called an Interceptor...
It alters the stock input/outputs from the ECU... Mike. |

Not to be an arse.. but I think you should do your search again...
I mean seriously.. I don't have a unichip but know the answer to almost all those questions becuase I've read almost every unichip related post here. The only reason why I'm not answering them is because I think you could get much better explanations if you went back and took the time to read through posts from cobb tuning, turboxs, and the people that have bought their products. |
