Default Forgive me Nabisco, for I have sinned...

but damn was it fun.

Today I needed to go to my parents house after work, so I took the fun curvy backroads on the way there. The problem was, I got stuck behind a dump truck. For some reason, he was doing 15 under the speed limit (40 in a 55)... slowing down for turns.... and the REAL pisser.... he moved over to straddle the line and block me the two times I went to legally pass him!!

So we were finally coming up on a long left sweeper, and I could see across a field that there was a truck coming, and nothing behind him. I had backed off, dropped it into 2nd, and as soon as the truck had passed by and I knew that the dump truck was in his lane, I dove to the inside and went flying past him... then settled back into the lane at around 60 in 5th.

Then, for SOME reason, the bastard speeds up and starts riding my ass. What the hell, man?!

So, my sin... I dropped it back down to 3rd, and drove my car like I've never driven it before. I called upon all my Forza, Project Gotham, Gran Turismo, etc experience... went through some S curves with the back end starting to lift and dance... through a few sweepers... through a beautifully cambered downhill left.... and goddamn it was fun. After I was content that I had put suitable distance between him and me, I settled back down and started driving like a sane man. I'd say that all in all, I went crazy on about a mile of wooded backroads, and never saw another car in that span... never got it out of 3rd, so I couldn't have been exceeding the speed limit by THAT much But, I know.. I'm a bad boy

What I want to know though... why in the name of god would a dump truck driver get all aggressive about being passed.... first by blocking me in a legal passing zone when I was signalling to pass... and again by speeding up and riding my bumper after I finally made it around him?

CN: Dump truck pissed me off... drove fast... smiled like I haven't smiled in a long time. Why dump truck driver asshat?

my third goes past 100, so yeah, its VERY possible you really violated the speed limit.

Dump trucks suck. I was driving a week ago and a dump truck pulled out in front of me with a steady stream of gravel pouring out of the back of the truck.

Long story short, now my windshield's cracked.

I am pissed cause now I forgot the license plate number.

CN's:

Dump truck pwns my 6 month old windshield.

BAD BAD idea to brake check a semi (if that's the truck you're referring to). Even if he's a total brainless jackarse, a subie is just a little gnat compared to the semi. Better to break away and forget it than to get squished trying to teach a lesson.

Of course, I've lost rationality too with road rage, ask my ticked off gf.

Yeah, I still can't figure out why the dude moved to block me twice. We were in a legal passing zone... dotted yellow.... and I signalled and started to move over, and he'd scoot over and straddle the line, forcing me to pull back in behind him.

Sounds like the drive I used to have to make to work everyday. The WRX, 748 and M3 had no problems "solving" these problems

unless there was a schoolzone involved, you fail.

and uhh... maybe the reason the dumptruck was going slow around turns is because ITS A DUMPTRUCK.

He kept up pretty well once I was in front

Oh and no school zone, only farmland, trailer parks, and woods

If a dump truck is keeping up pretty good you must really suck at driving. Are we talking like a tandem dump or a 1 ton dump, either way neither in any way should keep up with a WRX.
