Stage 2 Build
This may not be the right place, if so please direct me. I have a 2012 WRX, with AP V3, and Invidia Q300 stage 1. I want to have a stage 2 setup. What would be the best/most reliable stage 2 setup to have? Please list what you have done.

stage 2
For stage 2 you need a aftermarket downpipe. Either Catted or not.
Then I'd suggest bulletproofing your top mount and getting a good professional tune (a protune since using your accessport). Then you are set. |

I will be getting an Invidia catless dp next week. As far as ECBS and BC is that necessary? I will be doing a Forge BPV. What do I need for the top mount to be bullet proof?

Do not get a bpv or a bov. Down pipe. Then tune. Done. Your stage 2
The less "garbage" your throw on (bov bpv etc.) the less there is to go wrong. |

Cobb OTS maps are kinda weak sauce. Fork out the money for a protune.

But wouldn't I need a BPV to make it run more solid? what about cracking the tmi?

This is going to cost a lot, are you sure you can afford it? I mean catless downpipes are like $300.

p&l short ram intake
grimmspeed ebcs Downpipe of whatever brand you'd like up-pipe you dont need a diff bov (i am running 322awhp-352awtq on stock bov) walbro 255 ( dont need it too much for just st2) IPR top mount is cheap but good if youd like headers equal length= more torque this should be more then enough to get you a little bit past stage 2 hope it helps |

So St205WRX, I was thinking how does this sound.... Dp, DW65 fuel pump, Cobb SF intake forge BPV. GS ECBS and PW or Spearco, and obviously a protune.

I would get a lager diameter intake with a bigger inlet.. you'll love it i give you my word. As far as the bpv... like i said i am running a stock one and putting down nice numbers. everything else sounds good. now just start saving for a new clutch

Stock intake is good for more whp than your stock turbo is even capable of producing.

the sf is a box of metal aka a hot box, intakes are aluminum and dissipate about as quick as plastic but absorb heat more I wouldn't get an intake until im BT and need a KStech bigger maf intake. Its loud and if you think its worth it for the noise go for it but id put that money into suspension

You can add bolt-on's still you're blue in the face. Higher flow injectors and fuel pump, TGV deletes, larger intercooler, MBC and/or EBCS, intake, exhaust, external wastegate, etc. The list can go on and on. If you just want to lean on your stock turbo while not setting records, I'd go with a full TBE, panel filter and a hallman MBC. Drive car and enjoy.

Is there a specific tune from the AP for the panel filter or is there no need to tune for it?

stock airbox + k&n drop in filter
hallman mbc dw65c drop in fuel pump catless dp el headers ewg up pipe with 38mm ewg TMIC Good tune done. should be good for a mid to low 12 second pass if you can drive. 108-110 traps would also invest in a boost gauge and AFR gauge and a cobb ap to monitor feedback knock. if you dont monitor any of those three you are deff more likely to mess something up |

Look at my build, I have been through enough heart ache on my11. May I suggest you stay at stage-2 with a good fitting TMIC (AVO fits best), I ve been through the IPR/Perrin headache. Go stage-2 get a good pro tune.
I would do the following: Catted DP, CDE EBCS (grimmspeed) - optional Forge BPV (Subaru specific model) TMIC of choice (mine is AVO) -Optional AEM intake AP OTS stage-2 (for now) Call it a day. You could wait on the TMIC, but to get max potential it should be tuned on the car. |
