Default is it just me or is my car providing too much wheel spin?

I just installed my Blitz SBC I-d a while ago and I wanted to test it out. Other mods are Blitz SUS intake and Blitz rear section.
I set it to 16psi but it keeps peaking to 17 psi.... Anyways back to the wheel spin. So i drop the clutch at 5k, get a really good launch but a lot of wheels spin. Almost for the whole first gear... What's going on? I have read the AWD thing on subaru.com or sth like that and they say during exeleration, all power is placed to the rear...? Is that true? Are you all noticing this problem? It was not raining but the floor was a bit wet from the fog. Other then that, the car is hella fast.

Try better tires and pray you never have to take your car in to have the tranny rebuilt. These aren't dragsters, AWD cars don't like clutch dropping. Word of warning, Subaru will not warranty transmission work if they feel you've been racing your car.

Sounds like you are using the stock RE-92 crapmeister tires. Under ACceleration like you describe they are very likely to spin. The AWD system may bias power, but it won't send all the power to the rear, though you are certain to get more traction than a RWD car (assuming good tires).

Also, if all your power was routed back to the rear wheels to cause the spinning, they wouldn't spin for a very long time. Your front wheels would kick in within a second. LSDs are funny that way.
You were probably spinning all your wheels or a good majority of them, especially if you had stock tires.

if you have a manual tranny, your center and rear are locked(limited slip). you always have 50% to the rear and 25% to each rear wheel. The front diff. is open. It transferes it's 50% to the front wheels side to side depending on situation. Thats why you can kick the tail out on the 'rx so willingly. the auto tranny 'rx gets an electronicly controlled center so it can transfer power back to front, but also each rear wheel will get the same amount. that's why i almost think of my 'rx as a 4wd car. that says alittle about the spinning.

Ouch. Your tranny is gonna hate you for that. Try slipping it first.
