the front of the car looks nice but they need to do something about the rear.

Yes, the mesh grille is an option..The first pic on the 2nd page of this thread of the dark grey metallic sport has a mesh grille..it was outta my price range but will look into it as an aftermarket accessory..i think the rear looks ok after a light tint of the huge headlights to even things out

Did you get the grill installed by the dealership? Were you able to keep the original grill?

This is the only picture I have right now. I will try to get more when it's nice out.

Ordered 10/30/11
Picked up 1/10/12

I have just over 1,000 miles already and I really like this car. First Subaru and all I can say is that this car is solid in the snow even with stock tires.

Premium - Sedan - Camellia Red Pearl

You know, I've finally gotten over most of what I first disliked about the new Impreza... especially after seeing this DGM... but, I can't for the life of me get past how ugly the new side mirrors are.

They're oversized & seem awkward at first but they're so functional. Next to no blind spots & when parallel parking you can see the curb too. They've grown on me.

I love the new interior on this model, but i really cant get over the exterior styling. It just looks too boxy and not "subaru", since this is kind of the first impreza that looks boxy. It kind of looks like a Toyta matrix.

But other than that, I LOVE the aggressive front! The rear looks a bit weak, and IMO should have gone with the LED set up that was used in previous models.

hows the power feel? my wife has a 10 accord now rated at 190hp. 140hp just seems awfully low for a big AWD vehical. MPG is better though, but id like it to at least get up and move.

This is what i heard...

Even though its low on power, Subaru lowered the gear ratio to feel more "torquey"

However, due to this, once you hit 3rd gear, you have little to no power when mashed on the gas

But its worth it IMO for a 30mpg AWD..

Well, even without all the HP, hopefully I will have one to take pictures of in a week or 2.

I test drove the 5 speed and I own(ed) the CVT. I will say that the CVT feel torquey like others have mentioned. I think the mating of the CVT with this relatively low powered motor is great. The initial acceleration feels nice.

The 5 speed on the other hand felt very under-powered off the line. I would test drive both before making a decision if you are on the fence. I am a manual transmission type of guy, but I felt that getting the CVT was the right decision.

The only problem with your seat of the pants observation is that when tested the 5 speed out accelerated the cvt 0 - 60 mph.

Sorry about the picture quality. I have had the car for a month and just got around to taking pictures of it.

Hopefully, I'll get around to give it a bath and take some nice pictures in the day!

Nice to see pics are hear feedback from folks. We just picked up a Sport Premium/CVT for the wifes DD. She loves it so far.....all 2 days of ownership. Camellia Red with the gun metal wheels looks classy and her favorite color. The CVT is not too offensive to drive. She was sick of the manual and wanted the CVT.
