Wasn't meant to be. Went to go pick up the car today, finance guy told me I was stupid to not take the tire warranty and said that the wrx rims and tires were $2000 dollars. Completely under minded me. They low balled me on the trade by $1600 even though I had a guaranteed trade in price from SOA. Lastly the car I ordered had a chip and scratch from the rear left quarter panel into the door. I brought this to there attention and they said it was plastic. So I said you just told me the car was detailed, so that means you detailed the plastic wrapping? (he was speechless) they also tried telling me that in order to get a better interest rate I had to purchase the extended warranty. Would not budge on msrp either. Cancelled my order, there response was we'll sell it to someone else so I said good luck. Went to my other dealer ordered and signed for the same car but $1200 under msrp.

Sad but happy, another 8 week wait.

1. Anything wrong with your car? The car has to be in good condition to get GTP and under a certain amount of mileage. $.20 per mile hit over that mileage.

2. Unfortunately, we have that on occasion. They don't quite get those lines out. Have to take it back to them. Annoying.

If you don't mind my asking, what car and year is it? I would let SOA know about that. I don't know if a dealer has to participate in that though. Never thought to ask that. Good thing there was another dealer apparently willing to step up for you.

lol'd

for me the wait has just begun!

'13 WRX STi Sedan base
Dark Gray Metallic
All-weather floor mats
Auto-dimming mirror w/compass
Wheel locks

Next thing I have to look into are some nice mudflaps and maybe a clearbra.

I'm expecting the worst, but hoping to have the car before thanksgiving!

I just was told that my car might arrive 2 weeks earlier than expected.

Well see about that.

Oh and also, I order more accessories but was told that I can't have them port installed, even though they are port installed accessories. There is NO WAY I am paying for the dealer to install them (foot well illumination kit, trunk mounted sub woofer).

That's odd. I ordered footwell illumination and it's showing as a port install.

Maybe it's already gone through that phase? Would explain the two week gain.

I wonder how hard it would be to install the footwell lights myself.
Any idea?

.

The dealer I was working with knew I had the GTP number on mine, and my car is in good to excellent condition and the still low balled me by 2.5k on my trade... I was very unamused on that one.

I wouldn't expect it to be crazy difficult. I mean, it's a light... But I haven't seen anything on a self install.

Just placed my 2013 order today. It's my 2nd Impreza after used to having a '01 GC8 2.5RS. Super sad that Lightning Red Pearl is no more. That was my #1 and WRB and SWP were a distant 2nd and 3rd. Took me a while to figure out if I wanted blue or white more.

Satin White Pearl
Sedan STi Base Model
Options:
Alarm Shock Sensor
Fog Lights
Vortex Generator

Stuff Waiting in the Garage Until Car Gets In:
Prodrive GT1 Anthracite
Cobb short shifter
Planted Driver/Passenger Floor Mounts
Recaro Driver/Passenger Pole Position Bucket Shells in Black Leather/Suede
Kenwood DNX9960 Double DIN
Kartboy Shifter Bushings
Prosport Halo Oil Temp/Pressure and Boost gauges
Prova flat bottom suede steering wheel
STi R205/S205 black front fender badges
SPT turbo heat shield
SPT front strut bar
Cusco oil catch can
Subaru all weather floor mats

I'm excited. Been a while since I bought a new car rather than a used car. Also been a while since I've owned a 4dr.

Is that you're official delivery date or just an estimate?

I pre-ordered 8/10 and my official date is "November." But the estimate from the dealer is late September / early October.

Congrats on the order! Hang in there on the wait.

Linnadawg, do you mind me asking where you are located? I am in NJ area and am looking for that exact setup (minus Nav) and I cant seem to get any quotes under $37.9k.
