Default Best runs on Cobb Stage 2, OTS maps

What are the typical 1/4 times for you guys on Stage 2 with Cobb OTS maps, 91 or 93 octane? Right now I'm baselining with just minimal mods, a full Cobb TBE. Top boost is at 16.7-16.9, using the 91 map. Differences before and after pro tune would be helpful.

My best was 13.2 at 104mph on stage 2 ots cobb map. Haven't been able to beat that with my vf30 ots map yet, but my flywheel is killing me on drag racing. Can't get lower than 1.9 60fts with a 9lb flywheel.

I don't have an STi, but my friend with an 04 STi ran consistent 12.8-13.0 at about 106-107, professionally tuned he ran consistent 12.6/109.

My 2.0 WRX ran 13.5-13.8 on Cobb OTS with an uppipe/TBE, professionally tuned it ran 13.3/103

6.5 is a little high. I wouldn't go past 6k TOPS, it's all about the left foot

The sweet spot on my car (smaller motor, bigger turbo) is 5.5k, even then it's a tire-spinning fury if I let off too fast

idk. the one time I went to the track they only ran the 1/8 mile b/c it had rained earlier in the evening.

best 1/8 cobb stg2 ots was 9.1. Definitely nothing special but it was my first time and I found myself paying way too much attention to r/t's instead of just "doin' my thing."

My best was last weekend. I ran several 13.4's at 101-102 mph. I can only pull off 1.8 60' times. Mods are:

SPT intake
Perrin inlet
Turbo XS tmic
Crucial manifold elbows with Grimmspeed crosspipe
Grimmspeed uppipe
Invidia downpipe
Cobb stage 2, 93 octane
Walbro

I took the SPT catback off for the 13.4's. I ran a 13.7 @ barely 100 mph with it on. That was with a crappy 2.0 60' and making sure not to miss a gear... I don't know if taking the catback off really gained me 1-2 mph. I only took it off because most of the cars at the track were brought in on trailers and my friends were making fun of how quiet my car was.

My best when the car was stage 2 (93 oct. HWG cobb map)

: 60 - 1.800
330- 5.316
1/8- 8.273
MPH- 82.62
1000- 10.817
1/4- 12.966
MPH- 105.37

But what really pissed me off was when they wouldn't let us run the quarter because of wind, and I had my best 1/8 mile and 60 ft. :

60 - 1.645
330 - 5.088
1/8 - 7.989
MPH - 84.14

This was at the end of the season ,then the car came apart. Now I'm trying to get to the track with about 200 more whp to see what it'll do

I drove my WRX with an OTS stage 2 map, 3rd cat, large TMIC and 93oct to a 13.9@101 with a 1.9 60 ft.

My down pipe should show up with my Crucial Springs next week so everything should be installed next Saturday and I plan on taking it to the strip the following weekend after the ECU fully learns everything. I hope for upper 12's at 106+

107 traps on a stage 2 WRX is a little dubious. That's mid-upper 12 power. Do you have a timeslip?

NICE!! That's a good time for sure. 6.5 is still a little high I think, but obviously it's not hurting anything . No nasty wheelspin? On a good sticky track, 6.5 might be perfect.

i had a rotated gt30r on my car last year and p&l set mine to 6.5k and i had many many launches on my car and never hurt anything.....we are going to put a few more toys on it and see if we can see a high 12 be4 we get it protuned...

he said he didnt have to much wheel spin. the thing would just hook and go. he was cutting i think 1.6 60fts....ya the track has been good to us the past few times we have been out there

107 traps was on a protuned vf39 with alot of wheel hop and 1.9 60ft.

the 13.4 was on a td04 stage 2 map from cobb.

Good info. Report your new timings when all's put together. Interested in your improvements.

So I'm hearing there are no common issues with the OTS maps to watch out for?

I'll be tracking soon with just a drop in filter to start with and full Cobb TBE. No aftermarket CAI. Want stable runs on California (AutoClub) Speedway topping at about 150 on the front straight, with about 90+ deg weather. I'll run the 93 oct map with the correct mixture.

hubby ran our 07 STI with an Invidia catless DP only, Cobb stg 2 93 OTS 12.92 @ 104 mph. Best I ran it was 13.07 @ 104, but given a few more runs, probably would have had her in 12's as well.

I'll be running my 08 STI with just a catless DP and Cobb Stg 2 93 OTS map next Weds evening for comparison. I have an AMR CAI on the car now, so can't compare times until both are set up exactly the same.

YMMV. We have one local who hit 12.9something @ 103 with nothing but Cobb stage 2, but typical is more like low 13's. Freak car? Better than average driver and willing to drive aggressively? Right conditions?

As much as people like to simplify things, quarter mile times have a lot more to them than just your mod list.
