Default Found in central Wisconsin... anyone know it???

I got bored and started searching. Found this gem, thought it too good to be true and I don't know if I should spend my Saturday driving out to check it out.

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1

Pics show an STi cluster, 6-spd shifter (maybe??), different front seats, a DCCD knob (again, maybe, I'm not sure), and a front mount install. Any chance someone here is familiar with this car??

Look close and you'll also see a missing oil filler cap.

if the cluster was changed to a STI one that 30K miles could be wrong

I'm betting on 30k miles being wrong. I emailed the dealership, but i seriously doubt I'll hear back from them. Even if i do, they probably know nothing about it, although Wis Rapids is a really small place.

And i just noticed the oil catch can (?) sitting between the upper intake and the pulley cover on the driver side of the block. Somebody spent some time to build this correctly.

I would stay as far away from taht car as possible. Over 75K miles, and has been totalled by an insurance company. The title is branded as salvage/rebuilt, and as "not actual miles".

That's what i figured. I was slightly hoping it wasn't totaled and the motor/trans swap was done with minimal mistakes. A cheap bugeye with an STi swap i could take to a tuner would be awesome. Ah well.

TJs sells a lot of rebuilt, repaired, and/or salvage title vehicles, IIRC.

I would never buy a car that heavily modified from a dealership anyways. They don't know what they have I'm sure or even how everything works.
