Nice dude that is way cool. I did my taxes today and only am getting $250 back.

By the time I pay 60 in state and 60 in processing I barely cover fuel to get to dyno

Are you going to sit on your current motor till she pops or are you going to put the long rod in right away? One nice thing about being right in town with fine line there... getting tuned isn't an issue

Fine Line Imports is up in Northern California near San Fran. I'm in SoCal and the shop tuning my car is FSR Motorsports. I just talked to Miles recently about the display link and I ask him for pointers because he's tuned way more Subies on the Link than I had.

The new motor will go in after I get all the bugs worked out of this current setup. I wanna test these S20 heads out to see if they're worth me giving up AVCS. I might also try and build a meth system run through the Link. I'll do this now before the good motor goes in.

Damn you are burning the candle at both ends lol.

Display link would be fricken cool!

I kinda wish I would have done the method of computer first, motor second. Would have been nice to get everything dialed in on a 1500 motor vs 8-12,000 motor

Lol, I had to change for the different knock sensor, cause you were using the bosch one. I'll be using the stocker.

Got a headphone extension cable threaded through the dash today, conveniently spits out of the ashtray and allows for easy reach with a set pf headphones while in drivers seat.

Doing something similar for the link USB cable but I want to make sure that it isn't going to cause too much stress on the cable / head of the cord where I put it because I don't want to have to replace it down the road.

Very very few things left to do before now and dyno day. Finish up boost lines, oil change and calibrate the Knock block and verify that all 4 cylinders read roughly the same. Test mode came back as a positive today so all wiring is done. ...

Do I put the carpet back in before my tune so mt car doesn't look haggard or do I leave it for trouble shooting a wire?

99.99% done. I want to change out my Bosch sensor to see if that will fix the gauge being off since I have an extra anyways, It is really annoying having it be off like this, and at this point, I dont want to have to install an innovate, that would be really annoying too.

Other than that, got oil changed today, EBCS plumbed in, and my knockblock all situated, ended up dropping the gain on it a bit cause at 4 it was a little high doing the test that you're supposed to do ( 1-2 volts with frequency turned off and @ 3,500 RPMs )

If I am feeling ambitious, I might swap plugs, but after 1000 miles, I doubt there is anything wrong with the ones I have. Anyone have a comment about my carpet question?

What about how much gas to have in the tank when you go to get tuned. I was at 1/3 and dumped 5 gallons in, and apparently it was fuller than I thought, now it is almost full.

If needed, I can empty some out, that wouldn't be hard.

For the tune, you'll want to have 1/4 tank of 93 PG when you arrive and 10 gallons of E85 in cans.

Thanks Mr Allan. Did they have to dump some E98 in to even the mix out for you?

No, if I remember correctly the fuel I brought with me tested at 84% ethanol.

Not to be a Richard cranium here but I guess it depends on how confident you are in your work and wiring! If your sure of it all cover it up if not, then don't!

Haha yeah - yesterday I confirmed everything worked that I installed and I think I will cover it up. the only thing that is in question is the fricken wide band, which I don't know what I'm going to do about.

Well, I am as ready as I can get to go to P&L :

Car will be there tomorrow around the time they open. Hopefully they can give er a once over and do the PDI before tuning day to make that day go smoother.

Just in case **** hits the fan, I have everything I need to do small fixes in the parking lot. I wasn't paying attention enough when I was changing out my transmission fluid, I poured 4 jugs in when it was still on jack stands thinking I would top off the rest once level. It is now it is a fuzz over full, so hopefully the PDI involves putting it on a lift so they can quick drain some fluid out so that it is where it needs to be.

Excited, nervous, and provided it makes it there, it is out of my hands.

Tune is the 25th at 2pm CST

Looks good on the trailer behind the Chevy!! They tow very well, it's surprising how easy they tow back there!

Good move on having it there a week early, plenty of time to PDI it and a lot less stressful. They do lift em up for the inspection so draining the trans fluid should be no problem. You checked the level while idling right?

I'm not sure ill be able to get there on Monday. I'm in the Keweenaw now and I'll be here all week! Snows been going off up here. Finally get to use my Bohemia pass this week and hope to get a few backcountry days in at Gratiot and Brockway mtn's! Well see !

Totally jealous of your visit to copper country. My friends up at school say this has been the most wicked winter since they've started. 4 feet in 4 days a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the compliment, it was kinda funny, my two favorite colors are black and red (before I owned these two vehicles), and the first thing my ol lady said when she saw it on the trailer was did you specifically get a red trailer from work so you could match? haha

I checked the fluid when it warmed up but shut down.

Yeah up here in Ameek the snow banks are 5 ft high. Up at Gratiot Peak they just about cover the road signs! More on the way the next few days the lake affect snow machine is on 100% duty

You might be fine fluid wise. It supposed to be idling when checking it.

It was! Once I saw the seats in daylight they look decent. Need to give a small vacuum job and it'll be rockin.
Curious to hear how loud the 044s are with a seat there.

Talked with Paul last night and he said that the car was getting the pre dyno inspection today for sure. He said he would call if there were any issues.

Thankfully the only time my phone has rang today was the ol lady checking in on my travels. I think ill hit 2,000 miles from Monday the 18th to Monday the 25th.
I'm already at 1,200+ Yikes.
