Default Time Attack - EVO vs STI - June 24th/25th in UTAH

It's a little late notice but there will be an EVO vs STI Shootout &Time Attack on the 24th and 25th of June at Miller Motorports Park in SLC Utah.

It is open to anyone and everyone.

The event will take place on the 2+ mile West Course (techniqual course) of Miller Motor Park - The nicest race track in America. This is a great chance to come out and see for yourself how incredible the facility really is. AND see how you stack up against your fellow EVO's and STI's.

The Event is being put on by the guys at Lappingdays.com. To register simply go to www.lappingdays.com and sign up for the track day on the 24th or 25th of June. Cost is $300 per day.

I’ll have a formal web flyer and a few more details in a day or so.
Here’s a video of a full lap at the track, remember this event will use only the first half of what you see.
http://www.cs.utah.edu/~tag/movies/M...20060521_1.wmv

Some pictures of some of the guys you can expect to see out there – they have been practicing already!

It really is world class out there. I've run the west track (on the left side of the map) and the full track. Truley world class.

Too rich for my blood though.

To all you nonslc type Nasioc members, I challenge you to watch ALMS on the 4.5 miles course next month.

If the superbikes are seeing well above 200 mph on the strait, we can imagine what the le mans cars are capable of

It's super hot, I was out with parker at the MMP 2 weeks ago. If you get a chance, sell your first born to run on this track, it's downright amazing. It also happens to be about 25 minutes from my house

If you havent seen under the hood then you can barely comment.

Should be in Modified Magazine in a couple months, keep your eyes out.

Also, the week before this shoot, it seemed to have no problem creeping in on a Ford GT, corners and straits.

There are some more pictures of it on our website here:
http://www.cobbtuning.com/meet06.html

We'll be putting together more information on the car shortly, and there will be some coverage in Modified Magazine in a few months as well.

Definitely come out and run if you can. I'm sure they'll work on establishing some sort of classing system so full race prepped EVOs are being directly compared to full-weight street cars, etc. Either way, it'll be fun to hang out with fellow enthusiasts at the track!

Nice video clip of the east track. I love that elevation change on the backside.

seems strange these dates... as i was instructing on both those days for lapping days and there was nothing going on connected to any type of time attack.. only a few evo's besides myself in my sti.
everything people have said above about the track and facility though... right on point.
