Default Any other differences between 06' and 07 WRX?

So I'm not really a newb to the forum, or Subarus for that matter but I just traded in my 02 WRX for an 07' and am wondering, besides (copied from a site):
new 120 watt Premium stereo, 6 disc CD changer
new MP3/WMA capable radio
new Auxiliary stereo input plug replaces ashtray
new Sirius satellite radio pre-wired, 3 months free, after that call 888-539-7474

are there any other differences (namely mechanical) between the 06 and 07 WRXs?
Thanks!!
-Chris

Can't do any ottering tonight, gotta finish a research paper. Can you elaborate or point me to somewhere that shows the differences between the 06 and 07 then? I want to get a set of service manuals and I can only find the 06 ones and I don't want to get them if there are significant mechanical differences between the two!

holy crap. maybe this guy doesn't know. My 06 has a 2.5l as well.

Yeah, 06 as the aluminum control arms and some more aluminum parts but, not much to brag about from what I hear.

Also, it's drive by wire and I'm not sure what year they started that but it's not new, I don't think. Mine has it and I can't say for 04-05's but 02-03 didn't.

now I'm cofused I just read an email from Andrewtech and he said that my gears are as strong as the LG gears. Are the 07's tranny stronger?????? . Are the gears different on the 07 wrx, or is he talking about the STI.

Re: TRANNY
We have the Legacy upgrades and the late style 04 wrx gears, but they wouldnt be anything stronger than your 07 gears. so unforunately the only upgraded option for you is PPG at this time.

thanks,
Bret

man this thread brings the pain.
X-factor, shut up already.

read & compare.
they highlight some of the changes.
I'm sure they don't have 'everything' but it's a good start.

I compare them and the transmission ratios are different, I know some people said that it was a typo. Why they haven't fix it yet, if its a typo?

From those two pages all I can see are the tranny ratios, but if it really is an error, the only real differences are the ones they highlight with "NEW" on the 07' page (that I listed in my original post). Basically right now I just need to know if I buy the service manuals for the 06' if they're going to cover everything for the 07'.
Thanks!

The 06's control arms were aluminum on the sedans. I believe they changed it to steel in the 07's.....maybe a couple other bit of aluminum here and there have gone to steel on the 07's....

Search bar can really help with situations like this. I posted the complete differences for the most part about a month ago. It's half way down the first page. My info comes from a manual I got from a dealer that is specifically designed for the dealers to learn so they know exactly whats different from 06-07. Hope that helps ya.
