screw protecting seniors, protect us from the seniors!
Also, do they really think that the people who drive for miles on end with their turn signal on will notice a lane departure warning light on the dash? |

I think the feature they should include is:
"Vision and reaction test" Fail to pass, car wont start. Kinda like when you get DUI and have now to blow your car to get it started. |

I would just be happy if they gave all seniors cushions to sit on so they can see out of the windscreen

I would be happy with stricter standards (even past my normal myriad of stricter standards people should have to have to get a license) for old people. That would mean less old people driving, which means less of a need to test for something.
What's next? Testing for women with big boobs? When can the NHTSA die because it's no longer needed and safety is "good enough"? When can every organization with the string "TSA" die for that matter... |

Old people don't need to drive. They need to be isolated and studied so it can be determined what nutrients they have that might be extracted for our personal use.
I really wish they would offer an old folks package on a car. Stereo with built in Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme music, a button to push to talk to someone and another button to find the nearest Denny's. |

I don't get the point of this. I don't see how these safety standards only benefit seniors. I'm more concerned with the oblivious middle aged moron who is on the phone looking back at the kids in the back seat, driving 5 under the speed limit, in the left lane, with a blinker on, and floating into the other lane, while people are trying to pass on the right.
Sorry...A little venting...Can't believe how some people don't take driving seriously. |
