Default 18in rims and cobb springs will they rub?

So I've got the cobb springs on my 07sti and I'm looking at getting some new rims. I'd like to go with 18s but I'm not sure they will fit without rubbing. My geographical location makes it kind of hard to find any place that will test fit them.

Anyone know what the deal is or run a similar setup?
If I run the same width tire will I be ok or can I go a little wider?

You wont rub depending on the size and offset of the wheel.

What size of rim are u thinking about getting? Im running 18X9 +35 with a 235 tire.... I have to roll the rear or else id be rubbing bad.

First I'd say to get rid of the Cobb springs. They're too low.

We need to know a few things first:

- What size wheel? 18x8?18x8.5?18x9?
- What offset?
- What size tire are you thinking to run?

What would you suggest as far as replacement springs? I really enjoy the improved handling of the cobbs.... although they might be a little bouncier than stock its nothing I can't live with. Prodrive? Crucial?

I was looking at the 18x8.5 with a 235/40 tire on it. not sure about the offset.

Stick with a +40 or higher offset and you'll be fine with a 235/40-18.

225/40-18 on a 8.5 in rim is stretched, and is going to make your speedometer off a littlebit. If thats the look you going for. Pretty hard on the sidewalls IMO. I actually run 18x8.5 +38 rims on cobb springs in my 07 STi. You can have your fenders pulled or what not, but its easier to tactfully grind out the metal from your fender to match up to the plastic lip the goes over the top of th fender. That give me enough clearance for my rims with 255/35 tires. I agree with better springs though, if you want a good drop without bad ride, go with some coilovers.. otherwise you'll just waste some money in the long run.
