FWIW, they have installation instructions here for the RA:
http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/2012...structions.php Looks like a pain in the ass for the Sport model with the Strake kit. Last edited by Angelus911; 05-10-2012 at 01:06 PM. |

I hope this isn't a duplicate question but I was unable to find the info so I though I should ask.
Where do you find the LED reflectors at? Is there a link to a suggested vendor or any brands/models/vendors that should be avoided? |

I emailed Rally Armor and they advised not to add their mud flaps if you already have the strake kit or the aero splash guards installed. Also the video installation doesn't show the wheels off.

No, you do not have to take the wheels off. All you need is an offset screw driver and a flat head screw driver. The only real pain is that you have to pull back some of the fender wells to get the retaining clips in place. I guess it was an easy install for me by the fact that these were the 3rd set I have installed. First set was on a 2010 Forester and the 2nd set on a 2011 Outback. It took about an hour to install.

Installed the Rally Armor UR flaps over the sport 'aero' flaps. Anyone attempting this install should have lots of patience and a dremel. Didn't take any pics of the install but it isn't all that complicated.

I just figured it out as I went along.. but there's a piece of the rear aero flap that sits in the exact place the Rally Armor flap goes. Part of it protrudes into the wheel well so you'll have to cut off the part that protrudes if you want to keep it in. You might even be able to leave out the piece out entirely but I wanted to leave it in. In the end you can't see where I had to cut so it isn't all that big of a deal. You'll also need to fabricate some thicker spacers that go between the fender and the flap (I cut up a thick rubber floor mat for this) because the aero parts stick out further into the wheel well than the sport model's side skirts. I also had to bend the front brackets a little because the added fender spacers move the flap further in towards the wheel. TBH, it's impractical to do a thorough write-up on the subject because you have to get a little creative with how you piece it all together.. which is probably why Rally Armor advises against it. Totally do-able though!

Does anyone know if 19x8.5 + 45 wheels will fit the sport limited, even with a slight drop? Looking to avoid rolling fenders, etc

dumb question im guessing
okay, so there are people on here who plastidipped their chrome grills to look slightly more like the 250$ sport mesh grill option. i haven't plastidipped stuff for a while, is there a certain color that you all used? is it black? dark gray?
thanks |
