no reason why it wouldn't work, I had my stock manifold on during the first test fit then I tried again when the cossy one came in and there was barley any difference, biggest difference came when I removed the 8mm spacers.

I had the Full Race FMIC kit and can tell you it barely fits with the stock manifold flipped. If you look at my updated pics I ended up getting new hotside and coldside pipes fabbed up locally that fit 1000 times better for about the same price. I don't know of many others running their kit but if you have the manifold spacers, the TB spacer, a shorter ALT belt, and a slimline radiator fan, the piping part is pretty easy if you have a local fab shop.

Just went and checked out your build. Your build is very nice man great job. So you pretty much wasted money on the full race kit in a way? I see it had fitment issues with the covers and as for local people around here it's pretty dead and they would charge an arm and a leg to do it.

They were cool about taking back the pipes. I kept the core and I have nothing but good things to say about the turbo kit they just need a little work on their FMIC kit production and instructions with all of their kits.

I have a few more of these spacers left. Just picked up 10 this morning and will be shipping most of them today. Let me know if you want one. Not sure if I'll ever do another run after this.

I can confirm that rotating the DBW only 90 degrees will cause issues when using heavy water/methanol and a fast spooling turbo. It wouldn't be a huge issue if I had an EBC and allow full boost only at 100% tps, but with an MBC I can hit full boost at part throttle, and cylinder 2 takes a beating at anything lower than 70% throttle. My gtx3071 hits 20 psi at part throttle if I hold it at 50% long enough.

I have per cylinder knock raw showing 2 spiking. With the throttle at 100, everything is a-okay. I know it's a duh, but I had to test it to confirm.

I ended up grinding the manifold down instead of getting a thicker spacer and plugged the MAP sensor. Yes intercooler pipe was rubbing sigh...

In with the new:

Few things to clean up including a weld where the coupler is now after the TB but this is what I have so far. Any suggestions?

Shave the manifold and retape the brake booster on the driver side, fill hole..repolish. Looks good. If it were mine Id weld a 90 to the compressor so I could use a straight, less chance to blow off.

What is the wire attached to the piping right after the tb?

If you're talking about the white line it's the water injection line preturbo jet.

Question

FYI, this doesnt work on EJ18 motor/manifold. I tried today with using an 8mm phenolic spacer and it does NOT clear the TB. Not even close. Any suggestions? I'm not positive, but I dont think the 2.2 manifold is the same at the base where it meets the head?
