Default No brights on 2008 :(

For some reason my brights stopped working on my 08.
I flip them on and notihng happens.
On the 08's the low's are in the projctors and the highs are closer to the grill and are regular reflector halogen type. The high beam bulbs light up but they don't produce any light.
Anyone have any guesses?

If you think there is something wrong, take it to the dealer...that is what your warranty is for.

Yes, i know, but at one point I had hid's in the car (back in the winter) but i took them out, and when I installed them I had to drill holes in the dust caps.
I know this in not the reason for the Hibeam failure, but I don't want my warrenty voided because of it.

Information like that would be good to know, because it could have something to do with it. Wiring could be wrong, bulbs could be burnt....

From your post it sounded like you had a brand new car and this just happened.

Yeah, but HID's have NOTHING to do with the high beams as they are in a complete different housing.
Anyone know where I can get a set of dustcaps?

dustcaps at the dealership... If you have a DMM check the voltage, are the bulbs getting 12v? If they are try getting new bulbs.

....think about it. ....it is relevant. You were tampering with the same system/circuit that you are now having problems with. It could be a number of factors as a result (perhaps one of the items listesd by Big-E).

Just because they are in a different housing does not mean it is irrevelvant. You could have burnt the wiring, you could have blown a fuse....the list goes on and on.

If it wasn't relevent, than you would not have a problem taking it to a dealer. They have to prove what you did caused the problem

Also, they will not void your warranty for messing with the headlights, deny the claim, maybe, but not void your warranty.

Could be bulbs...the high beams double as DRLs, though at a lower wattage.
